Comey says 'it sure looks like' Trump had criminal intent to commit obstruction of justice

Former FBI Director James Comey said Thursday that "it sure looks like" President Donald Trump had criminal intent to commit obstruction of justice during special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation.

At a CNN town hall in Washington, Anderson Cooper asked Comey whether, based on the redacted version of Mueller's report on Russian interference in the 2016 election, he believed Trump had criminal intent to commit obstruction.

"It sure looks like he did, in connection with a couple episodes -- the direction to (former White House counsel) Don McGahn to get the special counsel fired is to my mind a flaming example" of criminal intent, Comey said.

Directing the White House counsel to fire mueller is in no possible way obstruction.

No one was fired and nothing was obstructed. I have never heard of attempted obstruction. On top of that I don't beileve anyone was directly instructed to fire anybody. I have not read that section of the report, but I believe Trump only instructed him to make sure rosenwiezel knew about mueller's conflicts of interest and that he should get rid of him. The media misrepresents everything they report on Trump to make it sound as bad as possible.

That CNN would actually host this guy is pathetic. On the face of things he’s a known liar, the highest law enforcement officer in the country with zero credibility and Frosty the Snowhead gives him a pass on any of his lies. Disgusting really.

All the conspirators will walk, nothing, in the same fashion as Hillary.

That is my expectation as well. We have been had once again, this time by barr.

If I were to interview Mr Comey, I would ask him if he could be considered a disgruntled ex-employee. When he said no, I would ask him which part is inaccurate: disgruntled? or Ex-employee? If he is not disgruntled than he must have been treated reasonably in his discharge.

FBI's Steele story falls apart:
False intel and media contacts were flagged before FISA

Comey is going down hard. Comey is desperate.
He would be well advised to shut the Hell up but he is a textbook sociopath, so he thinks he's smarter than everyone else.
Comey believes he can escape criminal punishment because he believes he "is the law" and most certainly he believes that any laws he stretched or skirted, were within his scope as the chief LEO.

Comey is obsessed by the idea of "INTENT".

Hillary deleted emails, 'wiped' servers, and destroyed devices but according to Comey, there was no "intent".

Comey talked to Trump about the dossier and because Trump didn't respond the way Comey expected him to he believes Trump is guilty.

Comey missed his calling. He should have been a mind reader.

Same guy that put Martha Steart in jail for lying to the FBI. Hundreds of people have lied to the FBI and have never gone to jail. He just got a lot of joy sending her to prison. Disgusting SOB.

Comey needs to visit GITMO, for about twenty years or more...

Comey, did you know about Hillary's crimes in 2016? Did you do anything? You Dems are driving young people away from your party. You might think you are brainwashing teenagers, but no, there are Conservative Teenagers voting for Trump....Can't wait til I cast my first vote for President Trump...

No, Trump had virtuous intent! Comey on the other hand had evil intent. He is about to be blown out of the water and he feels it coming.

I don’t think it’s Barr so much as the near 3 year delay. And you can thank Ryan, McConnell, Sessions and Rottenrod for that. Now we are up against 2020 and there is no way criminal proceedings will be started in the midst of a Presidential campaign because there will be no resolution before the election.

Well, there have been hints that it’s coming, and it was supposed to come in May per Horowitz. The only question now it to what extent. The snippets that I’ve seen and Bongino has talked about are roundly damning. We’re talking Hillary paying for people to destroy Trump, with an obvious chain of connections.

The only point now is how much Horowitz will divulge, and then how much Trump will further declassify, which is why Trump is waiting.

I’ll go with AG Barr’s explanation about obstruction. On the other hand, Comey is a straight up lying criminal, he doesn’t just look like he might be.

Horowitz is conducting an administrative investigation when what is needed is criminal investigations and indictments.

The criminal Democrats are running out the clock. Aided and abetted by the Never Trump GOPe. It’s that simple.

[Where’s the evidence, Comey?]

The drama queen don’t need no stinking evidence.

Criminal intent when there was no underlying crime? Only in the minds of deranged TDS Deep State douchebags.

>>Horowitz is conducting an administrative investigation when what is needed is criminal investigations and indictments.

I agree, but there is the element also of slowly easing the public into understanding what happened so they’ll accept it. I am quite sure that criminal charges will occur after Horowitz, because the FISA abuse will be so obvious.
