It can be easily squashed.
Rush is far, far harder on the GOPe than Hannity is. Rush eviscerates and demeans the establishment nearly ever time I tune in.

He is since Trump got elected.
In April of 2016 he was still calling Micro Rubio a “full throated conservative” when in reality Rubio is an amnesty supporting Bush League Republican.
He never demeans the establishment by name, either.
I too used to think Little Marco was a full throated Conservative back in 2010 when Little Marco was campaigning against the execrable Charlie Crist. But then almost immediately upon taking office in early 2011 Little Marco fell straight in with McCain and Schumer and any number of their gangs.
So it was clear in early 2011 that Little Marco was no full throated Conservative.
What I read between the lines is that McConnell places a huge priority on judges - he sees POTUS as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get rid of liberal judges.
By calling Don Jr in to testify he is throwing Warner and some other key Democrats a bone, allowing them to save face, giving them a token win, s in order to preserve a working relationship that has allowed him to make miraculous progress in reforming the courts.
Thats what I think he was trying to explain on Hannity. If Im right about this, POTUS will back off and let Don Jr testify - he may continue to tweet that its unfair, but he wont make a federal case out of it. The committee will agree that JR did nothing wrong and the Democrat leaders will have saved face.
I say trust McConnell on this one. Its a Trump friendly committee and Don Jr is too smart to get caught in a perjury trap anyway. Then McConnell can continue to confirm Trumps judge picks and to block all the socialist nonsense coming from the House.
It is really impressive what McConnell is doing considering how thin the GOP majority is in the Senate, and considering the House us under Dem control. Give him some leeway to offer the Dems token wins here and there - thats how politics works. Then when Republicans take the House back in 2020, well be sitting pretty.
Mitch McConnell is just as BAD as BAG if ROCKS BURR!! Pull the subpoena and take his CHAIRMANSHIP away!! Warner is running the show, dumbass.
ALL Kentucky Freepers should call MITCH! ALL NC Freepers should call BURR!
WE DON’T LIKE IT, MITCH!! PULL THE DAMN SUBPOENA!! People have been RUINED and BANKRUPTED!
That is EVIL!!! Trump Jr. is NOT A BONE to be thrown to the Democrats for Judges!! GOOD GOD!
?? Dont hyperventilate over a metaphor.
No one is suggesting Don JR should be offered up as a sacrificial lamb.
It really costs him nothing if he spends one more day talking to a friendly Senate committee about his innocence.
My guess is that he will do it with a smile. Another please dont throw me into that briar patch moment.
Meanwhile, he gets some prime time in front of cameras to show off his charm and wit. All the Republicans will thank him one by one, flattering him, giving him numerous opportunities to outline his fathers accomplishments and pillory the Democrats and MSM as witch hunters. The Democrats, one by one, will again make fools of themselves on prime time cable.
Its all good... and it gives the Republicans yet another chance to appear before the voters as the calm, reasonable, open-minded party - the grown ups in the room.
I think its great that the Mueller witch hunt is over. It was expensive and pointless. But lets not forget that it was a toothless exercise from the beginning. President Trump was not only never in danger (he didnt DO anything), but he actually worked it to his political advantage.
So much so, that I think hes reluctant to let it drop. I think President Trump provokes them on a daily basis in the hopes that they will continue on their goose chase.
I look forward to seeing Don Jr testifying - hell do great - and if you see a twinkle in his eye, that will be because hes there because he WANTED to be there.
Please Brer Fox! Whatever you do, DONT throw me into that briar patch!
If Don Jr appears before the committee, it will be nothing but a perjury trap. It won’t matter if he says one word or goes for 10 hours, the dems amd media will blow it up to be perjury. This is simply another instance of McTurtle and the GOP assisting the dems to get rid of President Trump.
I wouldnt worry about it. The public sees this whole thing as 100% political.
The Trump family is out of the woods (and always has been).
These hearings only serve to make the Democrats look like a-holes - nothing more. They are politically advantageous to our side and always have been.
I know that awful Kavanaugh episode was hard to stomach - but even that turned to our advantage politically.
Donald Trump Jr will not have to endure ANYTHING nearly so awful - hes not being accused of sex crimes - the most hes being accused of is hoping to get some dirt on HRC - opposition research - which is not even a crime.
He will sail through these hearings with a smile. The Democrats will take turns insulting him, while the Republicans take turns thanking him, flattering him and apologizing for the Democrats shameful insults.
In the end it will be another win for the good guys.
What makes you think this committee is “Trump friendly”?
Thanks. Interesting. And the guess makes sense. Although I don’t think that is what Warner had in mind. LOL
Good question.
I have watched all the televised hearings and I have to say that since McTurd and Flake left, the Republicans have behaved with the utmost solidarity. Even when flake was around, none of the Republicans on the committees sided with the Democrats. The worst they did was say stupid stuff like we should have a thorough investigation - but no Republican joined in with the Democrat accusations.
They take turns, the Democrats hurling their insults, the Republicans coming to Trumps defense.
So yes, Don Jr will receive his share of insults from Democrats, and yes, there are still a few Republicans like Romney that hate the President, but they are the exception, not the rule.
The Republicans hold the Senate, and they chair the committees, so they will have the last word. I guarantee neither McConnell nor Burr will have a single bad thing to say about Trump Jr. They will treat him with respect and do their best to discredit the dishonest Democrat narrative throughout the hearing. If Mitt Romney is on that committee (I have no idea), let him go ahead and spew his vile Trump hate - it doesnt matter - he is on the fringe. It will hurt him, not the Trump family. The Republicans as a whole will have the Presidents back.
Wait and see - if I am wrong, Ill be the first to admit it... but I dont think I am.
