Authorities apprehended a suspect late Wednesday after police discovered over 1,000 guns at a mansion in Los Angeles’s Holmby Hills neighborhood.

The Los Angeles Police Department took Girard Damien Saenz, 57, into custody Wednesday night after a group of local and federal agents seized a stash of more than 1,000 firearms of various sizes, makes and models from the home, according to NBC News.

Police are holding Saenz for suspected selling and lending of assault weapons as well as illegal transport of the weapons, according to a police spokesman, Lt. Chris Ramirez, NBC reported.

“We recovered over a thousand weapons of various makes, models and calibers — rifles, shotguns, pistols,” Ramirez said.

Agents with the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) as well as LA police discovered and seized the rifles from the Holmby Hills house.

Holmby Hills is an extremely wealthy neighborhood in western LA that borders Beverly Hills and Bel Air. The three neighborhoods are together known as the “Platinum Triangle,” which includes LA’s most expensive homes and priciest real estate. “It’s just beyond comprehension that somebody can have so many weapons in a residence like this in a neighborhood like this,” Ramirez said.

Police will book Saenz in jail Thursday, according to Ramirez.

Michael Jackson, Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond and Barbra Streisand, among other famous artists and performers, have lived in Holmby Hills, according to NBC.

Wonder if any of these weapons were part of the Obama/Holder Gun Walker scheme?

what is this guy charged with? I didn’t know owning guns was a crime in this country, unless you were a disenfranchised felon...

Really?

Jackass

I’m actually jealous of the guy...

I have more than 300 pair of shoes, a couple hundred ties and hundreds of baseball caps, maybe 30 cowboy hats, over 100 belts....

Is that too many....for my neighborhood?

A “WORST CASE” THEORY

Is THIS a bust of a rich gun hoarder - or a discovered cache
of cabal weapons?

The types of guns in piles (from video/ related photos) look
like older hunting variety. Common - cheap - LEGAL - simple
- effective… IF it’s a cache for future insurrection they’d
be simple, sturdy, common “sniper” rifles that are easy to
operate.

Remember what one rag-tag sniper team of (2) did to MD/DC/VA
in October 2002? They paralyzed a good chunk of the East
Coast for a few weeks, with minimal effort / cost.

Imagine what a few dozen team of (2) could do to the West
Coast, East Coast? A few HUNDRED teams of (2)? How many
teams of (2) have walked across our southern border in the
last 2 years? How many teams of (2) would this ONE cache
supply?

~~~~~~~~~~~
The invading military aged men known as refugees will be the
recipients of those weapons. Take a look at Afghanistan,
Iraq and Libya. We knew the Taliban had such caches
everywhere as a contingency plan. We later found out Saddam
Husein had the same contingency plan.
In the case of Libya the weapons were stored in poorly
manned garrisons.
Boko-Haram got the weapons the same way as the Libyan
“resistance”. Isis also took weapo0ns from poorly manned
garrisons/bases.
In 1980’s Peru the weapons were stored in
the mansions of activist judges.
We need to look out for those patterns in the USA mainland.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hmm...
Not all such caches are maintained by 2nd Amendment supporters,
and these may not be the weapons Creepy Joe want’s most to control.

I wasn’t aware that there was a number of weapons you can own clause in the 2nd Amendment. I must have missed that part.

I originally suspected Saenz was an illegal of some sort, vending guns to gang members, but he is actually a licensed contractor, and co-owner of millions in properties with the former mistress of a Getty family gazillionaire. The collection of guns includes Civil War era antiques, and I can see cheap .22 semi-auto’s, ARs and everything in between in the photos. Looks like what would be a legal collection in the US of A, but LA in not really part of that. LA cops must be drooling over division of the spoils before they destroy a pile of junkers for the cameras.

This was probably a secret and available backdoor arsenal for the uber wealthy of the area . The Liberal anti-gun hypocrites are nervous with all these killer illegals moving in and 100’s of 1000’s of seething dirt poor homeless quite near by .

They have plans to defend themselves , or to have that option . WITHOUT going to the embarrassment of going to gun stores or registering any such thing with the authorities .

I’ll bet ya anything .

Some true believer anti NRA Lib got wind of it and ratted the guy out . Isn’t that the way it works ?

Walt Disney also lived in Holmby Hills. Including his own scale railroad. When Disneyland opened his train set got bigger.
