When I clicked your link to Truvada side effects, I learned that the drug is approved for children of age 12 and older.
You have no idea the research happening that could save your own sinful hide or those in your family. Whether it's from controlling, killing or preventing but also potentially utilizing HIV in treatment of other illnesses.
Truvada is a combination of two medications already used in HIV treatment that happens to have a preventative effect. It's not without side effects and must be taken daily so there's enough of it in your body for protection if you are exposed to HIV. It costs thousands if you paid out of pocket but cost is offset by a free copay card from the maker Gilead.
I do wonder, do you have the same contempt about "wasted" tax dollars on treatment research to prevent cancers and other diseases brought on by things like smoking or drinking?

I know a few men who take Truvada and intestinal discomfort is common enough but usually goes away once their body is used to the medication floating around. I also know one young man who is HIV+ and I know he wishes Truvada would've been available to him before his trust was misplaced in someone else.
It's no different from wearing condoms or the use of birth control pills or some of the other things no one things twice about in 2019.
The best treatment for HIV is not to be exposed but you can't always trust the person you're with even in a marriage.

Except billions of ppl don’t engage in a perverted lifestyle such as homosexuality. In fact, less than 3% of Americans do. Smoking and drinking aren’t expressly forbidden in the Bible but lying with another man and “wasting your seed” is. Therefore a Christian has the right to speak against such a sinful behavior, regardless of the state of their own soul. Otherwise, nobody would be allowed to speak out against sin - except Jesus.
