My youngest daughter whose mother-in-law is white and father-in-law is very light black man.
My son-in-law is light with non-black features and their first born clearly showing blackest side grandparent with lots of dark curly hair and brown eyes, second granddaughter blond with green eyes, still light features today and my daughter’s youngest baby boy dark curly hair but very light skin, brown eyes.
All kids are older now and a real grab bag of features, darker granddaughter and grandson clearly darker features but probably look more as East Indian than black, lighter granddaughter has light brown hair and green eyes like her mixed race dad.
Very mixed backgrounds are clearly featured but each and every one dearly loved by family. Interestingly, all have only dated white boy and girlfriends, with one just getting married!

Well, now the story of them moving to Africa makes sense...
Even fully black babies are pretty light at birth for the most part.
A few years ago I was working in a clinic and saw a baby who came in with his mom and grandma, both white. It was only when I saw the darkened patch he had on his tummy that I found out that the dad was black. The baby looked completely white. (The dark patches are common in darker-skinned people but not whites).
This little boy is less than half black. He may not be blonde and blue-eyed like his cousins (though he could be) but he probably won’t look particularly black, either.

A few months ago, I told my British husband that I suspect Meghan will demand to move back to LA within a few years. She does have a following here and in the UK, but not nearly the massive number of supporters of Wills and Kate. Meghan is extremely jealous of Kate and undermines her at every turn. Like announcing a new Charity (Harry did) on Prince Louis’ first birthday. And Meghan brought Kate to tears when Charlotte was being fitted for her bridesmaid’s dress. During the run-up to the wedding, Harry famously said ‘whatever Meghan wants, Meghan gets’ and most of Harry’s former Staff have left them high and dry for any household support.
Meghan has apparently booted all of Harry’s friends, from University and after, and they now only associate with HER friends. And now they have announced they might live in Africa. Living anywhere other than the UK will assure Meghan that she won’t have to share the limelight with Kate. I feel badly for William AND Harry. I’m sure William misses his formerly close relationship with his brother......and Harry is too dim to see anything past his new wife’s manipulations.
