The White House on Wednesday asserted executive privilege over special counsel Robert Mueller’s full report on Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, ramping up its clash with Congress over its investigations into President Trump.
The move came just before the House Judiciary Committee was scheduled to vote to hold Attorney General William Barr in contempt of Congress for failing to turn over Mueller’s unredacted report and underlying materials, which the panel had subpoenaed.
Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd wrote in a letter to the committee's chairman, Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), that the administration was following through on its threat to assert privilege if the panel refused to delay the contempt vote, saying lawmakers effectively “terminated” negotiations over access to Mueller’s report and underlying evidence.
“As we have repeatedly explained, the attorney general could not comply with your subpoena in its current form without violating the law, court rules and court orders, and without threatening the independence of the Department of Justice’s prosecutorial functions,” Boyd wrote. “Accordingly, this is to advise you that the president has asserted executive privilege over the entirety of the subpoenaed materials.”

The Democrats will fold their arms over their chest take a deep breath and refuse to do anything repeat, they will refuse to do anything until this self-absorbing malcontentment is resolved.
In other words... the Democrats are creating an excuse for not doing anything whatsoever for the next 18 months. The Democrats are pigheaded and the Democrats will look for any excuse to not carry out the will of the people in regards to legislative efforts and the running of the country.
Legally, the Trump side is correct.
Dems may find weak Obama judges to ignore that, but it will just be appealed all the way up to the SC, where eventually Trump will win.
The longer it drags out unresolved in the courts, the longer Trump and Barr get to continue doing their jobs ... especially with the Huber & Horowitz Reports coming down the pipe, Dems are hooped and they know it

I’m so tired of this BS, it is the republicans that are allowing all this crap. bush league republicans like barr, ryno, turtle and linda have been behind this all along. They could have stopped it long ago. The gang of eight knew what was going on. All the committees knew what was going, look at the testimony they are slow rolling out. They had this information years ago and yet said nothing as the abusive and illegal mueller investigation continued. And look what the original players like comey are out there saying even today. He knows he is not in any jeopardy. Seriously, who’s going to hold them to account? hubber? like his last report that cleared the hillary investigation? I don’t think so. barr is just stalling the same was sessions and rosenwiezel did. In the end, after Trump has been hamstrung his entire term, they will put out a report that says mistakes were made but nothing actionable.

Normally I would trend to agree, but we are heading into some pretty dangerous territory right now, and it really needs to be stopped dead in it’s tracks and the conspirators in this attempted Overthrow of the United States Government need to be held accountable.
