Douglas County sheriff Tony Spurlock told a morning news conference that one of the suspected shooters at the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) School in Highlands Ranch, previously identified as male, was a female under the age of 18. The other suspect was Devon Erickson, 18, he said.

Denver's ABC television affiliate, citing an unidentified police source, reported on Tuesday that one of the suspects wanted to transition to male from female and had been bullied for it.
Spurlock declined to answer a reporter's question about whether the younger suspect was transgender.

Maybe they were actually bullied into it.
People confused about the birth gender need treatment, maybe if a risk to others like this, confinement. Now these two should be executed once convicted of their violence.
It's sad that we are too politically correct to get people the mental health care that they need.
These people are mentally ill and they need psychiatric help.
But nowadays we just surgically mutilate their genitals and hope they get better. So far, I’d say this isn’t working.

If they had done this in Texas, they would wind up on the One-Way Gurney in Huntsville, but in CO, they will enjoy their therapy sessions for years.

For a left-wing and statist website and management, I find the public comments on almost all Yahoo News to always be solidly common-sense conservative.
It is WORSE than just surgically mutilating them. Large parts of society are actively ENCOURAGING this.
They make it “trendy” and encourage them to “change sexes” which cannot be done in any case.
In the case of a lot of these young people (down to and including toddlers!) who are pushed into becoming a “transgender”, if they ignored it, it would simply disappate on its own. If not, get them mental help.
The vast majority of these are not kids with a documented biological, hormonal or anatomical issue. The majority of these are kids who are mentally confused and need help.
They should get it.
Have no fear, they will probably install a filter to keep that kind of fascist commenting out. :-)

I wonder whether the suspects will just be released, so as not to hurt their feelings, since there are likely no transgender-modified jails in Colorado.
