Steve Bannon: ‘Most important day of Trump’s presidency’ occurred this week (Video)

President Donald Trump’s former chief political strategist, Steve Bannon, told Fox Business on Monday that it was the “most important” day of his presidency because he told China he would not re-negotiate trade agreements that Beijing had already signed off on but which the Communist leadership is now reneging.

Instead, Bannon noted, POTUS is set to impose an additional heavy round of tariffs on Chinese imports by Friday — as we reported today — if no trade deal can be reached.

It’s hard to blame the Chinese for trying, after witnessing the performance of Clinton and Obama. The Clinton’s were bribeable, while Obama would exchange strategic disadvantage for shirt term political gain, as in Iran or Paris.

Forget the Clintons re China trade. The US Camber of Commerce and the multinational corporations are the real culprits. Powerful interests are making huge amounts of money from the status quo. They are the paymasters for the corrupt politicians.

“Powerful interests are making huge amounts of money from the status quo.”

And the money comes from.... You guessed it, China!

I am glad that we at last have a President that understands the danger to America that the Chinese represent, along with the America-sell-outs that they’ve bought off.

If you mean that American corporations should put America first, I agree. Though I don’t know why they would, with the way they’re treated in this country.

While I am encouraged by this, I think it is as likely Trump did this as a negotiating tactic, as it is he is completely serious.

I remain unconvinced. But somewhat optimistic.

Somewhat.

Good for Trump (and for America) but the question remains whether China will come to the table, or attempt to wait out Trump - even if it is for six more years.

The biggest thing working against us is that everybody knows that once Trump is out of office, the old crowd likely gets back in power and everything goes right back to the way it was.

I am not convinced that Mike Pence will carry the Trump revolution forward and on top of that, I don't think Pence is very electable either. He will likely get clobbered by a Democrat at the national level.

Once Trump secures his second term (and I believe he will), we need to find another Trump.

This is SOP for the chicoms and every president and trade org/country has let them get away with it to date..

This is just one of the many reasons Trump has already shown himself to be a great president.

The entire posture toward Chinas illegal behavior has been changed. Not onlyamong government policy under Trump. But all the think tanks and policy wonks have all come around to realize China has been robbing the us blind, stealing our IP and is NOT our friend.

That reset alone makes him a great President. There are many other reasons of cours, but completely changing the accepted wisdom on China is and of itself Enough.

This American would be extremely proud to hold President Trump’s brief case while he kicks the ever loving shit out of anyone, but especially the Chinese and their American sympathizers!
