RUSH: I want to demonstrate for you here at the top of this hour what being on the cutting edge of societal evolution means. It was only yesterday on this program that I discussed one of the characteristics of Trump derangement system. One of the techniques of the left — and I’m gonna let you hear it. I’m not gonna say the whole thing here because I’m gonna play it in a moment.
But it was the monologue where I encouraged everybody to live in the present because that’s where your life is. That’s where happiness resides. That’s where the pursuit of happiness is. That’s where the opportunity to be all you can be or all you want to be, that’s where it is. Not in the past and not in the future.
I pointed out the left has corrupted both. The left looks at the past and all they see is all of this outrageous racism and sexism and bigotry of the United States. And in the future, well, that’s dead, too, because you’re gonna die from this or that or climate change or what have you.
So you are surrounded, you are inundated by apocalyptic fatalism in both the past and the future. The past, you can’t live again unless you want to live that way, but the future you can’t possibly know, but you can certainly be affected by it. And I urged everybody, if you’re so focused on the past and the future, you can’t possibly enjoy your life. Your life is in the present.
Here is how I said this yesterday. It has a payoff because you’re going to see in the next bite following mine that exactly what I said was agreed with by a psychiatrist describing Trump derangement syndrome. But here is what I said yesterday first.
RUSH ARCHIVE: “Oh, my God, Trump’s not gonna leave! We’re gonna beat him, but he’s not gonna leave. Oh, my God!” This is all the left has. The left cannot allow you to live in the present. In the present, there are 1.5 million more job openings than there are jobs. In the present, the U.S. economy is going gangbusters. The tax cut did its magic. In the present, American prosperity is at an all-time high. But the left doesn’t want you living in the present — and if you don’t live in the present, there’s no way you can enjoy yourself, folks. There’s literally no way.
“If you’re occupied by all the stuff in the past that happened… You weren’t even alive but you’re out wringing your hands (sniffling) “over how bad it was and how horrible!” And then you focus on the future where you may not even be able to live when you’re 65 because of climate change or because this is gonna happen or that’s gonna happen — this horror, that horror — you’re not even able to live in the present. The present doesn’t even occur to you because you’re so focused on all the doom and gloom in the future, coupled with all the misery of the past, and this is their precise objective.
“It is a key element to the left’s psychological ploy to create constant fear and crisis, negativism and pessimism. Oh, yeah, they’ll talk about the present in negative ways too. The last thing they want anybody doing is enjoying themselves. Because the present — the here and now, the things that you’re doing in the here and now — are the things that matter toward your pursuit of happiness and your contentment. The last thing they want is you happy. Not when Donald Trump’s in the White House.”
RUSH: So let’s take you now to the network known as RTV, and that’s Russian TV. And they had a guest on there last night, psychotherapist Nancy Colier talking about Trump and Americans’ mental health. Listen to this.
HOLLAND COOKE: Data tells us that those who [don’t] approve of President Trump’s job performance are significantly more likely to experience negative emotions than his supporters. Disapprovers feel more negative than supporters. Nancy, does this validate what Rush Limbaugh and his army of imitators call Trump derangement syndrome?
NANCY COLIER: It does. It really does. And anger does not lead to happiness. Anger leads to stress. All of the stuff that Trump and this whole administration is fomenting leads to misery. So we don’t get happy when we’re hating. We don’t get happy when it’s us against the other. More hate does not make us well. And it does not make us happy. And it does not make us rich.
Suicide is going up because the whole way that we’re living, not only the economic insecurity, not only the rage that’s being fomented and worked, not only the climate insecurity, not only the — everywhere you look somebody is being blown up about some reason for hate. Right? But none of this works. So we’ve got to get back to some sanity.
RUSH: Isn’t it amazing. They make my case for me every time I open up and get philosophical about ’em, somebody’s gonna come along, think that they’re criticizing me and actually validate what I’m saying. Can’t be happy during the Trump years. Not permitted. Can’t be happy. Economic insecurity, climate change, can’t be happy, somebody somewhere is being blown up, can’t be happy. Don’t want you to be happy. Not during the Trump years. That’s not gonna work. That’s not permissible.
This is why I reach around and pat myself on the back now and then. I mean, I don’t do it as often as validated, but I do.
What would be cool is if you put ‘Rush’ at the end of the headline.

Trump will be out of office in six years.
You will survive.
Or not.
All of the stuff that Trump and this whole administration is fomenting leads to misery.
Especially the economy, it is so bad, no one working, no jobs, IRA and 401Ks dropping like rocks, we can forget the good old days just like Obamma said./s That lady is an idiot.
Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. And hate leads to suffering. Ya know...the whole path to the Dark Side thing. Let's get it right Nancy.

Wrong. Trump isn’t fomenting jack. He’s telling it like it is and people should hear it. There’s no misery in having the best economy the US has seen in decades. There’s no misery in people being able to go to work every day and have a livelihood and the satisfaction of a job well done.
It’s the left that is fomenting misery. It’s a money/power making industry for them.

Are you saying when you look for links to open and read you can’t see in the same glance at the headline the words Rush Limbaugh and the link in RED to RushLimbaugh.com in red?
do you somehow cover up the second line?
Maybe it’s in my settings. I only see the headline and most recent comment not anything else when looking for links.
