FULL TITLE:
Brig. Gen. Ali Nasiri allegedly defected with Iranian military plans. Now major U.S. firepower is on the way. Coincidence?
Also: see screencaps at original post
To: NewJerseyJoe
One has to wonder if Iran was the subject Trump’s long phone conversation with Putin last week.

Rule #39* no coincidences. (particularly) at this level.
*Leroy Jethro Gibbs’s Rules | NCIS Database, https://ncis.fandom.com/wiki/Leroy_Jethro_Gibbs/Gibbs%27s_Rules:
Rule #39: There is no such thing as coincidence. Rule #39a There is no such thing as a small world. Rule #40: If it seems someone is out to get you, they are.
All of the above rules seem to apply to this news.

Astute observation. Given the unfolding events we’re seeing you’re probably right.

Are you the self-anointed spokesperson for "most of us"?
To: NewJerseyJoe
I was told by a close friend, sadly now-deceased, that most of the Iranians were good people, but Jimmy picked the wrong bunch to get in bed with. I have yet to see anything to contradict him.

Thanks for that link - I knew it existed, but never thought about it while in a book-marking mood.

Rule # 35, 'If you think you are being played, you probably are'.
My favorite rule, # 51 'Sometimes you are wrong'.
Gibbs hated to write that rule.

Thanks for your comments.
The older I get, the more valid many of Gibb’s rules seem to be.

“The older I get, the more valid many of Gibbs rules seem to be.”
When I hit my 50th birthday I slowly began to appreciate the old sayings “wisdom comes with age” and “youth is wasted on the young” as well as “When I was a child I spoke as a child, when I became a man I put away childish things.”

I’v only ever had one rule, and I think it covers just about everything.
“TRUST NO ONE, BELIEVE NOTHING UNTIL PROVEN TO YOUR OWN SATISFACTION”.
Seems to work just fine for me.
