When I hit my 50th birthday I slowly began to appreciate the old sayings “wisdom comes with age” and “youth is wasted on the young” as well as “When I was a child I spoke as a child, when I became a man I put away childish things.”

I’v only ever had one rule, and I think it covers just about everything.
“TRUST NO ONE, BELIEVE NOTHING UNTIL PROVEN TO YOUR OWN SATISFACTION”.
Seems to work just fine for me.
