President Trump on Sunday blamed political correctness for a controversial decision at the Kentucky Derby that led to the disqualification of the apparent winner in favor of a 65-to-1 long shot.
The Kentuky Derby decision was not a good one. It was a rough and tumble race on a wet and sloppy track, actually, a beautiful thing to watch, Trump wrote on Twitter, misspelling the states name. Only in these days of political correctness could such an overturn occur. The best horse did NOT win the Kentucky Derby not even close!

2 stomps for Yes, One stomp for No!.
Horse hockey! No pun intended. I think the NASCAR drivers have the right philosophy regarding a little bumping and paint trading: The just say, “That’s racin’, boys!”
Late thought: How many of the 3 stewards had money on the Longshot? As El Rushbo sez, “Always follow the money.”
I thought it was spelled- Kentooine
( wait, that’s where the Kessel run was done ;-)
Why are you calling A Case Of Old Kotex Maximum Security
assigned Maximum Security to last place after DQ.
In horse racing, each horse is supposed to maintain a straight route and not bore out or in causing another horse to change its direction or gait.
I understand that but then the tracks should not have
turns in them. More like a drag strip. Of course the
stands would then be at one end, the finish.
NeverTrump tut-tutting underway in 3...2...1
Is it me or were all the hats kind of cheap looking? Made in China? One Size Fits All.
I guess times are hard in the stables and pastures these days.
Pretty pathetic display in all.. you’d think they had better drainage as part of the track infrastructure but it looks like the place is aging rapidly.
That’s what I wondered. Also—does a horse KNOW it is supposed to stay in a lane and not stray, unless directed by the jockey??
Absolutely. It’s an outrageous decision.
No you can't.And perhaps I worded my comment badly. The jockey is,I would suspect, only partially responsible for what a horse does during a race. I assume that there are things that the jockey can do (or say) that would cause the horse to do a particular thing...or to run in a particular fashion or direction.
One would think that a detailed report, complete with references to established rules for that particular race, will be released...if it hasn't already been released.
TRUMP is wrong.
And knows virtually nothing of horse racing.
Another example of why he should stop mouthing off about everything.
The interference is what was egregious.
Don’t blame the horse. He was just trying to improve life for himself and his family.
thing about obamas corpsman comment...it was on a TELPROMPTER!!...and he said it 3 times!..lol...braindead.
....
Nope; I don’t buy it. Obama is stupid, but on evil things, is smart. His “corpsman” comment is because he wanted our guys dead...on his “57” states comment(s), he knows related to Islam there are “57” states/countries. These are not mistakes, but subliminal things the handlers want repeated.
That is not the way it plays.
Why should it be OK if its just an accident? Accident or not (and it was), it causes major problems for other horses and so is a foul.
And yes, despite all the bellyaching here and even on racing fora, it was a MAJOR foul. Anyone want to take it up with Watchmaker?

What kind of crap is this?
President has time to get involved in a effin’ horse race and misspell KY?
Why does Trump insist on inserting himself into things like this?
Agree 100%. The other horse ran into the back legs of Maximum Security.
