Flareup in Gaza: Hamas and Islamic jihad fire 200 rockets towards Israel
Renewed fighting has escalated in Gaza: approximately 200 rockets have been fired by Gaza militants towards Israel over the course of a few hours In response, the IDF says it has carried out airstrikes on more than 30 militant targets in Gaza, including rocket launcher sites and other military compounds used by Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
Theres nothing new about flareups in Gaza. The jihadist war against Israel began in 1948 and will continue until the Palestinian Authority, the PLO, Hamas and Fatah accept Israels right to exist, which they will never do. Each of these jihadist organizations aim to obliterate Israel in accordance with their charters, despite the ongoing lies and propaganda about: the Palestinian leadership making efforts toward a two-state solution, the so-called Israeli occupation, Israel apartheid etc.
The well-known declaration, From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free, is an ongoing mantra which fixates on obliterating Israel from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea.
Each time Israel has given up land in efforts toward peace, land which it captured in defensive wars, its jihadist neighbors betrayed agreements and were instead, further emboldened.
Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in Gaza, was loudly praising violent riots along the Gaza-Israel border in late March, as tens of thousands of Palestinians massed along the border on the first anniversary of the Great March of Return. Sinwar declared: we want to bomb Tel Aviv. Islamic Jihad is also now vowing to strike major Israeli cities. Intentions do not get clearer than that.
Such recent disturbing news does not stop there: with aid from the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hizballah has now built a new missile manufacturing facility in Beirut. Despite all, in early April, Israel again embarked on futile efforts toward peace, by negotiating an agreement with Hamas. Part of the agreement included an easing of the restrictions on the fishing area and gradually open the Gaza crossings to allow additional goods through. Meanwhile, Deputy Hamas leader Saleh al-Arouri emphasized that a Hamas-Israel agreement is not a peace agreement.
Appeasement of jihadists has never worked and will never work. It emboldens jihadist bullies.
2 wounded as Gaza militants fire 200 rockets towards Israel: IDF, by Andrew Carey, CNN, May 4, 2019:
Jerusalem (CNN)Approximately 200 rockets have been fired by Gaza militants towards Israel over the course of a few hours on Saturday, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).
The Iron Dome aerial defense system intercepted dozens of the incoming rockets, the IDF added.
Two Israelis have been wounded, including an 80-year old woman in the city of Kiryat Gat, about twenty miles from Gaza, injured by shrapnel to her head and legs, according to Israels emergency response service, Magen David Adom.
In response, the IDF says it has carried out airstrikes on more than 30 militant targets in Gaza, including rocket launcher sites and other military compounds used by Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health says one person has died as a result of the Israeli strikes, and seven others have been wounded.
Israel has also announced that it is closing the two border crossings between Israel and Gaza, as well as closing the Gaza fishing zone in light of the rocket fire.
The announcement came from the Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT). The fishing zone was restricted to 6 nautical miles earlier this week following a rocket fired from Gaza that landed off the coast of Israel.
There was no specific date for when the crossings and the fishing zone would reopen.
Saturdays rocket barrage comes less than a day after two militants from Hamass armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, were killed in an Israeli strike on Hamas posts in Gaza.
Israel launched airstrikes Friday after two Israeli soldiers were wounded by sniper fire along the Gaza border
100kt neutron bomb air burst over Gaza City would stop this.
Older news ...
Currently (Sunday morning, May 5 Israeli time), the rocket count is 430 in 24 hours; the IDF, after hitting 220 Hamas and Jihad terrorist (evacuated and emptied) strongholds in the Gaza Strip, was gearing up for a lengthy war of attrition; the transfer of the IDFs 7th Armored Brigade to the Gaza sector, indicating preparations for IDF forays into the Gaza Strip for hit-and-run strikes at rocket batteries and their command teams (after sufficient notice of intent to strike).
These expensive strikes on empty buildings and random plots of land will teach the Pali’s not to mess with the Israelis ... there may be a few casualties by accident but the victims’ families will be compensated as usual.
This isn't football/soccer, there are no ties. One side will dominate the other.
Time to treat the paleosimians like a real state! They want/demand it, give it to them! When one state declares genocidal war against another, it's ON!
It is time for Israel to bulldoze the place into the sea.
until thousands and thousands die, there can be no peace.
What is required is not retaliation, but rather eradication. Women must tremble in fear as they squeal their lamentations
Agree to terminate the whole Palestine area, The same as any sane country would do if continued rocket fire was coming from the area.
Problem to solve. How to tunnel under Palestine so the whole area sinks at least 300 ft.
What would Trump do if Mexico did this on our southern border.
Make no mistake. They are being supplied and directed by Iran. The Iranians promised retaliation for the increase in sanctions against them and this is probably part one. https://www.jpost.com/Arab-Israeli-Conflict/Amidror-Iran-behind-the-Gaza-escalation-588796
Why do the Israelis tolerate this? Shut off water to the palis. Shut off electricity to the palis. Close the border completely. Give NO notice of counter-attacks. Attack and KILL people. Bomb the leader’s buildings and houses.
Rinse...repeat...rinse...repeat.
I assume that IDF counterbattery know-how is the best in the world and that they know exactly where in Gaza those rockets came from.
The reply is up to the Israelis. It’s spelled KABOOM!
Israel should offer to any Pali that wants to leave Gaza a trip to either Lebanon or San Francisco.
They are still hampered by World Opinion at this point. But they are further down the road. In the end, the Israelis are totally responsible for their own defense. Not the US, the UN, or any other entity. It was prophesied in the Bible that the whole world will turn its back on Israel. Zechariah 12:3 “On that day, when all the nations of the earth gather against her, I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who would heave it away will be severely injured.” We haven’t gotten to the “severely injured” part yet.
Who is supplying the rockets? If it’s Russia or China, we should ratchet up the sanctions on them and tell them why!
Then drill a hole through to the Mediterranean Sea, let the place fill up and drown every last one of the Palis!
This will not end well for the perpetrators
Usually these things wind up with a draw or the Hamas declaring victory, after the IDF suffers losses, while Hamas C&C and troops shelter in deep underground cities.
Every time Israel gets close to really attacking Hamas, the UN and the EU step in an make existential threats - so Israel backs off yet again. This time will likely be no different.
The only thing which will force Israel to take this serious is Hezbollah and Iranian Al Qods troops crossing the Golan. But then Israel will have a two front war again and possibly a third and internal front from the PLA
This is worse than acts of war against Israel. Rocket attacks intentionally targeting civilians are war crimes. Hiding amidst your own civilian population without uniforms or insignia is a war crime. The Palis’ whole strategy is a war crime.

It's a holiday. Palestinians doing what they do on holidays. Fine culture.
