New York (CNN)Facebook barred seven users from its services earlier this week, citing its policies against "dangerous individuals and organizations." Now President Donald Trump is siding with the people who were banned and railing against social media "censorship" -- all while using one of his favorite social sites.
The president shared more than a dozen tweets about the subject on Friday night and Saturday morning. And he conveniently avoided the fact that some of the banned users are extremists who make a living by deceiving their fans. His posts were a rallying cry, full of resentment toward Big Tech. He said "It's getting worse and worse for Conservatives on social media!"
But Facebook (FB)executives say this has nothing to do with ideology or political party -- it's about safety. "We've always banned individuals or organizations that promote or engage in violence and hate, regardless of ideology," a Facebook spokesperson told CNN Business when the bans were put into effect on Thursday.
The action affected Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who's notorious for using anti-Semitic language; Paul Nehlen, an anti-Semite who unsuccessfully ran for Congress in 2016 and 2018; and far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.
Jones and his media outlet InfoWars had previously been banned from Facebook, but had maintained a presence on Instagram, which is owned by Facebook. Jones and InfoWars have now been evicted from Instagram as well, although there are questions about how thoroughly the ban is being applied.
The other banned individuals are the fringe right-wing media personalities Paul Joseph Watson, Milo Yiannopoulos and Laura Loomer.
The president is showing particular support for Watson, an InfoWars personality notorious for spreading misinformation. (In the past, Watson has peddled conspiracy theories about the unsolved murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich, the September 11 terrorist attacks, and so-called "chemtrails.")

The name fits, Stelter. Youre awful. You degrade the profession of journalism. You try to cloak your NeverTrumper liberalism as news. Look in the mirror, if you dare. https://t.co/wPJOhGhhxv— Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) October 30, 2018
Communists always lie and project their own sins. ALWAYS.
What is the complete list of the bannees?
It sounds a little odd that Trump would complain about Farrakhan being banned.
I’ve listened to a lot of Watson’s youtube videoes, I have yet to find one that wasn’t honest and truthful. Matter of fact, Watson has responded to Trump’s tweet by posting another video on youtube.

OTOH, I’ve listened to a lot of Steltzer’s comments, and the majority of them are outright lies and the rest are distortions.
It’s funny to see far left so-called “journalist” using the term “far right” about everyone and anyone who doesn’t agree with him...ROFL
It’s notorious that Stelter is allowed out of his cage to spread his lies.
Jeff Zuckers Eunuch speaketh.
Kaitlin Bennett stuck it to Brian Steltzer...Hilarious...

far right
[A despotic] government always [keeps] a kind of standing army of newswriters who, without any regard to truth or to what should be like truth, [invent] and put into the papers whatever might serve the ministers. This suffices with the mass of the people who have no means of distinguishing the false from the true paragraphs of a newspaper." --Thomas Jefferson to G. K. van Hogendorp, Oct. 13, 1785. (*) ME 5:181, Papers 8:632"I am... for freedom of the press, and against all violations of the Constitution to silence by force and not by reason the complaints or criticisms, just or unjust, of our citizens against the conduct of their agents." --Thomas Jefferson to Elbridge Gerry, 1799. ME 10:78
"No experiment can be more interesting than that we are now trying, and which we trust will end in establishing the fact, that man may be governed by reason and truth. Our first object should therefore be, to leave open to him all the avenues to truth. The most effectual hitherto found, is the freedom of the press. It is, therefore, the first shut up by those who fear the investigation of their actions." --Thomas Jefferson to John Tyler, 1804. ME 11:33
"[I have seen] repeated instances of the publication of what has not been intended for the public eye, and the malignity with which political enemies torture every sentence from me into meanings imagined by their own wickedness only... Not fearing these political bull-dogs, I yet avoid putting myself in the way of being baited by them, and do not wish to volunteer away that portion of tranquillity, which a firm execution of my duties will permit me to enjoy." --Thomas Jefferson to John Norvell, 1807. ME 11:226
"Conscious that there was not a truth on earth which I feared should be known, I have lent myself willingly as the subject of a great experiment, which was to prove that an administration, conducting itself with integrity and common understanding, cannot be battered down even by the falsehoods of a licentious press, and consequently still less by the press as restrained within the legal and wholesome limits of truth. This experiment was wanting for the world to demonstrate the falsehood of the pretext that freedom of the press is incompatible with orderly government. I have never, therefore, even contradicted the thousands of calumnies so industriously propagated against myself. But the fact being once established, that the press is impotent when it abandons itself to falsehood, I leave to others to restore it to its strength by recalling it within the pale of truth. Within that, it is a noble institution, equally the friend of science and of civil liberty." --Thomas Jefferson to Thomas Seymour, 1807. ME 11:155
Steltzer = Stelter
How about a new social media company .... Rightbook.com
Domain name is for sale for $5000
Trump didn’t complain about Farrakhan. CNN’s pony journalist Brian Stelter just included his name and pic in the Trump article to insiuate he did.
Mr. Butterball Power Bottom's comments mostly consist of moaning.
Hmm, maybe this might explain a little on Loomer.

Loomer called Islam a “cancer on humanity.” My guess is that Facebook is using the number of complaints that arise as its gauge of hatefulness.
Apart from the “banning” issue, here’s where we run into the conundrum known in classical Christianity of “speaking the truth with love.” The average Muslim will equate his faith with himself and rush, furiously, to his own defense along with his brethren. Who has the wisdom and tact of a Paul who both says and demonstrates “I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge”? Allah-worshipers, you have gone gaga for the wrong deity and it is creating chaos for the whole world including you.
If Facebook etc are going to play policeman of the world with our speech, opinions and politics they need subject to law suits and litigation. Freedom of speech is a cherished principle of democracy. Tucker Carlson has been very effective at explaining how the muzzle by the left needs accountability.
Fringe left-wing media personality Brian Stelter is still on the air.
Meanwhile conservative thought cleansing by the uber leftist social media companies continues apace.
You mean like Maddow, Cuomo, Lemon, Matthews, et al? How many of those filchers did Facesnot ban?
