Barr is at the point where he has to quit and retire totally from public life and maybe change his name and address or he has to go get all the miscreants who have tried to topple the USofA in one big push, maybe even go back to some earlier atrocities like selling guns to Mexican warlords, er, cartels.

I suspect Barr knew what he was getting into. It’s the first time someone actually said “enough” and stood his ground. The voters who matter, the ones who could go either way, tend to respect that. He also seems to have infused some backbone into President Trump, who’d been poorly advised to try to be reasonable with the haters in both political parties.

Your second option — after the “or” — gets my vote! He has to take them all down. The last thing he, as an honorable man, wants is his FBI to remain corrupt, not to all the other alphabet agencies.
