The maker of Oreo is looking to take its snacks to a new level by cashing in on the CBD trend.

Mondelez International, which owns Chips Ahoy, Oreo, Nutter Butter and other brand name snacks may be adding CBD-infused snacks to its product line, CNBC reported.

“Yes, we’re getting ready, but we obviously want to stay within what is legal and play it the right way,” CEO Dirk Van de Put told the business network on Wednesday.

The chemical, which is derived from hemp and marijuana doesn't make you high, unlike THC, but it does provide some of the same therapeutic benefits and has been used to treat various ailments such as seizures, anxiety, inflammation and sleeplessness.

President Donald Trump signed a farm bill in December 2018, legalizing most products containing CBD, but the Food and Drug Administration still prohibits adding the chemical to food or beverages... Van de Put told CNBC the chemical might not be a fit for the company’s family brands.

I don’t want cbd oils if I have to get diabetes and teeth issues along with it.

seriously “cannabidiol” (not clarified in article) ...

The ‘double-speak’ use of abbreviations is meant for the information-impaired masses

Its not even a proper abbreviation

“The maker of Oreo is looking to take its snacks to a new level...”

A low level...even though they might be thinking “high”.

Yeah, it’s much better to just drip it out of a dropper.

Better even than vaping because you would need lots of vape draws to get a significant dosage (25mg or so).

Big mistake to do this to cookies. It’s bad enough that artificial ingredients are used. Too many bad chemicals as it is. Organic snacks are best for consumption to promote good health and relieve anxiety.

There’s an easy way to vote against this choice. And it’s the most effective vote there is.

It’s amazing what the liquid form does to Parkinson’s patients. People with arthritis also use this with 100 percent no pain results. I think this is a miracle (thank God he made this plant) for those with chronic illnesses and pain. I’m glad I voted for it in Florida. What a jerk I’d be to tell an 85-year old cancer patient she couldn’t have pain relief. I think putting it in foods could really radiate pain forever.

There are many benefits from CBD cream and oil for joint pain. It helps alleviate the pain in my arthritic hands. I suppose the pot Nazis prefer I use some sort of opiate instead.

They need to be careful so they don’t get sued as a provider of foods that contain MJ or hemp. Some jobs, like police and military surprise test their “employees,” and it can show up on a test. It can cause in some conditions, the possible punishment of military members.

It was a few years ago that Jones cola was introduced into military commissaries and part of their flavors contained hemp. It was removed when troops started lighting up the golden flow tests. Some had to go to a court martial to clear their position.

From “The Magicians”

And my apologies for the rocky road. We certainly didn’t intend for Bob to die on you.

Was he murdered?

Snuck a box of Oreos.

Magicians can’t eat Oreos?

Diabetics can’t have Oreos.
