Meanwhile, Trump Promotes the Power of Prayer

RUSH: As I was saying while all this is happening, the White House today, the president gave the Rose Garden a heavy dose of Christianity.

Today was the White House prayer day, and there were lots of Jewish religious leaders showing up who praised President Trump for his phone calls and reactions after the latest synagogue shooting out in San Diego. Trump was quoting from the Bible during this prayer day ceremony, using the grace of God to explain how people can recover from drugs, how they can have faith-based adoptions, how they can stop abortions, how they can recover from incarceration.

It was inspiring, it was uplifting — and no doubt, the Democrat Party and the American left’s heads were exploding. Trump’s supposed to be tweeting. Trump’s supposed to be out there reacting to what Nadler is doing. Trump’s supposed to be out there reacting to all this stuff that they’re doing to get him thrown out of office. Instead, Trump is spending a lot of time with God and helping others to find the way to God. You know, hearing Trump ask for prayers for the people fighting for freedom in Venezuela at the prayer day at the White House was touching.

That Rabbi is adorable. He has such a kind and gentle look. I’m glad President Trump invited him

As a Christian, my prayers are (and have always been for 30 years or more) with the HORRIBLY OPPRESSED Christians brothers and sisters in a series of unspeakably cruel concentration camps along the Chinese border, in Kim Jong Un’s NORTH KOREA. Rapes, torture, starvation, worked to death and even defector reports of actual crucifixions.

And no, I will not be taking such a statement back in the forseeable future.

Wow. Pres. Trump’s impressiveness grows by the day. He calls on us to pray for this nation. Wow again.

The Lord hears those who believe on Him and do His will.

For that alone, today is a turning point in our history.

The bible itself bids us to do that — to remember those who are suffering as though they were ourselves.

As terrible as North Korea is, if it weren’t for the intercession of these suffering saints, it might be even worse. It’s so easy to lose sight of the big picture when the little picture seems to overwhelm.

In a nutshell, we should be praying for the Lord to show His saving glory in this country.

I think Melania has been a strong influence on the President with regards to prayer.

One wonders if God pays extra attention to those he has placed in power, when they go out of their way to humble themselves in His sight.

Melania had once lived the life of a playgirl.

Her story might be one of the great unsung stories of this age. The God who stooped to save Rahab the harlot by bringing her news of Him in a form she could believe, can also save a profligate America.

A positive witness from the two would do a lot to counter the constant catcalls about their past.
