Here We Go – FBI Admits Using Spies Against Trump Campaign
Conservative Treehouse ^ | May 2, 2019 | Sundance

A report in the New York Times, transparently timed and placed by officials within the intelligence apparatus trying to get out ahead of internal investigations, outlines how the FBI sent counterintelligence spies to engage with Trump campaign officials in 2016.

In a stunning admission The New York Times describes how the FBI enlisted a female agent to work the “operation” in the U.K. during August-September 2016 posing as an aide for U.S. intelligence asset/FBI informant Stefan Halper.

Halper was an FBI operative and Cambridge professor who set up meetings with Trump campaign advisor George Papadopoulos. The female agent used a fake name, Azra Turk, and presented herself as an assistant to Stefan Halper; however, she was actually an undercover intelligence operative of the FBI.

The story in the NYT was completely dishonest and obviously leaked by FBI insiders.

Well, of course this is a teaser, they also infiltrated his Appointments, Staff, and Cabinet. Why do you think so many ending up leaving.

Why did the Times run the story?

It completely undermines the narrative.

Run it, or become accomplices. That’s the trap they are trying to wriggle out of at the moment.

Shut the FBI down. Now.

It has been too thoroughly compromised and corrupted to continue to serve as an effective law enforcement agency.

Millions of us are going to refuse to talk to them which will only compound that fact.

Read the suggested pages of Papadopoulos’ testimony (start at page 101). The ham handed way the FBI went about setting this guy up would make the NKVD proud. In America, Incredible!

It’s CYA. Go look what Clapper was saying on TV earlier today (”well golly gee, everyone knows the Russians have been interfering in our elections since the ‘60s”). They’re trying to diffuse the charge of spying by pretending it’s a typical thing.

The evolving narrative:

1. It is outrageous to claim that we were "spying" on the Trump campaign.

2. What we were doing was not "spying," it was "due diligence."

3. We were spying, and we had a good reason to!!!

Where is that fat a$$ criminal Stefan Halper?
It would not surprise me if he dies of a “heart attack”
very soon. You know, old age... etc.

NYT: Weeks before Mr. Papadopoulos met with Ms. Turk and Mr. Halper, the F.B.I. had opened its investigation into the Russia effort — based largely on information that Mr. Papadopoulos had relayed to an Australian diplomat about a Russian offer to help the Trump campaign by releasing thousands of hacked Democratic emails.

The F.B.I. received the information from the Australian government on July 26, 2016, the special counsel’s report said, and the bureau code-named its investigation Crossfire Hurricane.

Note weasel word "largely." As others have observed, the code name "Crossfire Hurricane" is probably something Lisa and Peter came up with from the Whoopi Goldberg movie Jumpin Jack Flash about a British secret agent outwitting the KGB (i.e., Christopher Steele).

Mr. Halper continued to work with the F.B.I. and later met with Mr. Page repeatedly in the Washington area. The two had coincidentally run into each other in July as well at Cambridge, according to people familiar with the episode.

Oh, just a coincidence! Well my!

I'm guessing the FBI and CIA will ultimately claim Page's invitation to Cambridge and Halper's encounter with Page there were a British op they knew nothing of.

But they are going to have put a firewall around Mifsud.

Or maybe the body of a depressed and suicidal Mifsud will be found in Fort Marcy Park.

Why did the Times run the story?

Maybe they see what may be coming in the near future. This way they can say they were reporting all along.
