We broke up the colonization of our nation by the British. Good grief.

I've even heard the ridiculous assertion that the only reason we wanted to gain independence was that the British were going to end Slavery. There are people out there who actually believe this.

Britain did ban chattel slavery in 1776. One would have expected slave owning founder figures like Jefferson to have written about it if that was a significant issue to them.

Still, it’s to wonder... what if the declaration of independence had waited until 1777, and the new nation went into it sans chattel slavery. It did bring a curse as the institution of forced domination that was required to make chattel slavery work was counter to the loving voluntarism of the New Testament.

LOL, there are people out there who’ll believe anything.

What this does raise the question of, is this.

In our founding, there was a low percentage of the populace that actually gave a fig about independence. I believe it was less than 30%, but someone can correct me.

Today we have a greater number who wish to destroy our nation. At least it sure seems like that.

I think we take this underground Leftist network to lightly.

We need to stand up to these thugs in every quarter.
