Senate Republicans confirmed President Trumps 100th federal judge on Thursday, speeding through a series of picks this week thanks to the GOPs nuclear option move last month.
Judge Rudolfo Armando Ruiz II was No. 100, approved on a 90-8 vote to a district court in Florida. The Senate also approved two other district judges Thursday, bringing to eight the number of nominees approved in floor votes this week.
Thats a much faster pace than could have happened under the old rules before the nuclear option.
Were beginning to make better progress, said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
The Kentucky Republican noted this week the nominee to be general counsel for the Energy Department was cleared 68 to 31, the director of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation 72 to 27, and the assistant secretary of state by 90 to 8, revealing abundant bipartisan support for the picks.

We shall mustard our forces to ketchup with Obama: hot dog.
They confirmed by good friend and fellow lawyer Andrew Brasher for the U.S. Dist. Court of the Middle District of Alabama! Impeccable conservative and a keen mind!
Any chance we can keep them all under 40?:)
Only took Mitch over half of Trump’s first term, to get off his ass and get the process up to speed.
Okay, so he has one temporary tax cut to his credit. He now has the nuclear option to his credit.
Nearly two and a half years into Trump’s first four year term, Mitch has done two things right.
Look folks, I know we have a record number of judges approved. The thing is, how often do we get this type of opportunity.
We have the first Conservative president in thirty years. We luckily have a Republican Senate. And Mitch McConnell has squandered the true potential thus far into Trump’s first term.
Pisses me off something fierce.
I’ll add two Supreme Court Justices, which is very nice.
O’Connell has his issues, but with the first two years having a de facto 50/50 split (thanks to Corker and Flakey Flake), he’s done about as well as could be expected.
Unfortunately, we swapped Flakey Flake with Mittens and we let MT and AZ slip through our fingers - both could have been GOP wins last Nov.
Hmmm, we cant get Steven Moore to the Feds but we can railroad 100 Trump judges into Dem throats..
Yep, but on the upside there will be no more excuses in not confirming judges and executive branch Trump nominees.
100 is a good start...

Yes the SCOTUS appointments being approved, were a big deal too. I agree.
Right now we should have 125-150+ judges approved.
Trump has a little over 1.5 years left.
If, God forbid, he should not win re-election, his impact will be stunted due to Mitch twiddling his thumbs for much of the time.
Where was the massive load of bills he had promised to produce if only we’d give him the majority?
He and Ryan ran like scolded dogs from anything meaningful in the first two years, other than what we already discussed.
This is high gear? One per week?
90-8 Not good. We have seen any nominee that gets more then a few Rat votes is a bad pick.
A little over 1.5 years of Trump’s first term to go...
Next year the excuse will be it’s an election year and we can’t do anything then.
Oh, there will be excuses...
They should have filled EVERY vacancy by November 2020.
Those are in non-judicial offices.
Yep, they should and I pray they do.
Any chance we can keep them all under 40?:)
...
Usually not a good idea. Most judges slip to the left over time.
There are still 137 vacancies. Clear out the entire backlog, Mr. President!
Clearly this will be the Trump legacy. Keep ‘em coming!
