Mifsud planted the information (the Russians have dirt etc) and Halper tried to harvest it. That failed, he was annoyed that Papa wasn’t forthcoming... later they succeeded with the Aussie ambassador. They make that out to be a big deal.
But it isn’t. If Mifsud’s report was real, (which it was not, his claim to have been in Russia was false), if it was real, there is still no crime in repeating gossip.
All the Russians were plants. The infamous “Russian lawyer” was Fusion, brought in by the Obama DOJ. They have tried to make out that contact with her was criminal, but even if she was legit and actually had dirt on Clinton, talking to her was not criminal. This whole thing is riddled with setups and non-crimes.

Note the Times did not mention Downer’s Clinton links or how he happened to bump into Papa in a bar. Papa was likely set up by Obama FBI or CIA station agents or by MI5/6 acting on their behalf. There are obvious reasons this all went down in foreign country. None of this is a coincidence.

For the NYT to be publishing this means the mustard is about to come off the hot dog. But if a cleansing wave of truth and associated prosecutions were coming soon, Congressional Democrats would be trying to subvert it by acting like rabid hounds at hearings and barking for AG Barr to resign. I still think this should eventually be made into a TV miniseries, with central characters literally wearing hats in every episode — let’s actually watch White Hats and Black hats (and does anyone switch their hat color halfway through the story?).
It would help clarify things is we could see some sleazy guy in a black hat making a big speech about how patriotic he is, how wonderful the FBI is, how he’s just trying to find the truth, etc., etc.
The public is never going to truly grasp the details of this tawdry affair. But we need to find a way to show people “this group of people were treasonous criminals” and “this group of people were upholding the rule of law”.
I am wondering who else the Dims were spying on.

We were so alarmed, we kept sending fake Russian agents to sell/give to the Trump team. And they just didn’t cooperate. But we had to spy on them as a result of their guys not taking the bait. Because maybe they would have taken the bait. Even the doofus oldest son talked to our Russian asset in his office. So we know they must’ve been up to something with real Russians who were not cooperating with us.
Just wow. Those folks thought they were so smart. Oh wait. They never thought they would lose, so they did not cover their tracks until after the fact when it was too late. And that darn Admiral Rogers spilled the beans. Then they had to release the pee pee dossier to the media in order to cover their tracks. BUT ONLY LUNATICS BELIEVED THAT GARBAGE.
