One of their executioners did —I mean all by himself, one by one- SEVEN THOUSAND guys. He shot them in the back of the neck.

7,000 of them in a month.

The historians say it’s a world record, but no one really knows.

Today is the 100 year anniversary of the Great October Revolution (as it was called in the USSR) or the 1917 October Revolution.

This being May 2 2019, that sentence had me scratching my head.

Horrific. Russian peasants and Russian soldiers had lived with a boot in their face for so many centuries that I bet this had to feel great.

Most of those soldiers simply could not conceive of what they were unleashing. I doubt 1 of 10,000 had the slightest concept of the ideas advanced by our founding fathers or the enlightenment.

All they did was replace an absolute monarchy, with a different type of absolute ruler. Very sad. The paintings are great.
