READ: Barr's prepared remarks in testimony before Senate Judiciary panel
The Hill ^ | 4/30/2019 | staff

Attorney General William Barr will testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday, the first of two back-to-back hearings he will take part in on Capitol Hill this week.

Democrats are expected to grill the attorney general over his handling of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian election interference. Barr has come under fire over what some see as his mishandling of the long-awaited release of Mueller's report in April.

His testimony will also come a day after the bombshell revelation that Mueller had sent a letter to Barr expressing "frustration" over the attorney general's four-page memo sent to Congress, which detailed the findings of Mueller's probe.

Read Barr's prepared remarks ahead of his testimony before the Senate panel here.

Mueller had sent a letter to Barr expressing "frustration" over the attorney general's four-page memo sent to Congress

I was of the impression Barr offered to let Mueller review and edit the memo and Mueller declined. In true, then the coup is still underway.

Barr again uses the same language he used in his original memo :

“we disagreed with some of the Special Counsel’s legal theories” (”we” meaning he, Rosenstein and other legal experts within DOJ, and even when they used his wonky theories they reached a different conclusion - no obstruction occurred and there was nothing ‘nuanced’ about it.)

isn’t this the 10,000th “bombshell” report associated with the “Russian Collusion Delusion” over the last 2 years? I strongly suspect that this “bombshell” will be yet another dud or will backfire miserably on the perpetrators of the hoax.

Deranged, depraved, corrupt swamp rats lashing out. It’s pathetic on many levels. Another sad day for America and justice. Democrats don’t deserve to be in this country.

…”The Panel is going to go in fully loaded because they’ve targeted Barr....they are using Barr to show anyone who is even thinking of standing or joining with Trump, in positions of power, what they will do to them.
If they can’t get to Trump they will with certainty go after everyone surrounding him.”...

On this May 1, 2019, all America needs to do to get a glimpse of her future, if the Congressional left gets it's coup, is to view the films of what totalitarian rule by elites has done to the once great country of Venezuela as the Kangaroo court, in the Congress and it's lapdog media, get ready to smear one of our finest, Attorney General Barr in their illiterate hearing today. Everyone should take the time to watch and use your own brain to assess what you have witnessed. Bypass all cable news. Think for yourselves.

Why don’t they just bring Mueller in and ask his lying ass? I guess they could get a copy of the “leaked Mueller letter” article from the Compost and question it. That would allow the democrats to parade the talking points in front of the rest of fake stooge media.

The only way this type of thing stops is by throwing them in prison. There is no negative repercussions for this slimy behavior. Abuse of power should not be tolerated, especially for political gain. If you can’t win an election fair and square, you didn’t actually win.

Barr offered to let Mueller review and edit the memo and Mueller declined

Whatever question anyone asks him a question, just reply, "I gave Mueller a chance to review my letter, but Mueller declined."

It seems you have to get down to the tenth paragraph to realize that Mueller’s complaint dealt with the way the MEDIA characterized the second volume of the report. Mueller didn’t have an issue with Barr’s memo, just the media portrayal of it.

I did not read any part of the Mueller report.

Mueller, or his minions, should have had a 2-5 page ‘Executive Summary’ on top of their 400 page tome. If they did, Barr would have included their Summary conclusions in his letter to Congress.

If Mueller did not provide an Executive Summary, then AG Barr can draw his own conclusions, which he did.

Note to Mueller: Sit down and shut up, you had your opportunities.

Barr should say, “Congressman, regarding the political complaints, as James Comey famously said, our judgement is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.”

I have also made available to a bipartisan group of leaders in Congress, including Chairman Graham and Ranking Member Feinstein, a minimally redacted version that includes everything other than the grand-jury material, which by law cannot be disclosed.

So what are THEY all whining about? Oh I know. Spin lies repeat. I hope no one is stupid enough to leak it since I am sure the source will be immediately known.

If they can’t get to Trump they will with certainty go after everyone surrounding him.

The Dems have been doing this ever since Trump won the election. No matter which Dems, if anyone, gets exposed and in trouble for their illegal spying, lying under oath, etc., the left wins by frightening good quality people away from working for President Trump. The left cares nothing for the good of the country.

As I am sure you agree, it is vitally important for the Department of Justice to stand apart from the political process and not to become an adjunct of it.

No they don't agree and that is the source of the whole problem They haven't agreed since Bill and Hillary fired the US Attorneys when he became President and replaced them with their political operatives.

I agree...and I'm not listening to their ‘theater’ display today on Barr either. It's just another ‘extension’ of their antics they're pulling for show and tell with their bass. Not to mention keep the pressure on this administration. They have to do this stuff 'before' the election because they know he's going to win if they can't get him down. before.
