Republican senators on Tuesday began vocalizing their opposition to Stephen Moore, President Donald Trumps nominee for the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, amid widespread criticism that the economic commentator is unfit for the job.
Sens. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) both told reporters that theyre not confident in Moore, whom many economists have called out as a partisan pick more known for promoting conservative fiscal policy than for having any economic expertise.
Ernst, the first Republican to speak out, told CNN it was very unlikely that shed support Moores nomination and that she didnt believe he would be confirmed if he came up for an immediate vote. Several of her colleagues have privately expressed concerns about him, she added.

Republicans screw America again.
You must believe in the deep state, big banking agenda and all current Fed policies or you are not “serious” or “qualified”.
Why do we even bother to vote republican
SPINELESS and BALLLESS GOP!

All donation requests from the GOP get tossed in the trash can. It really is a soulless party.
I contributed for a while, but now the RNC gets a cut of all donations to Trump/Pence. I refuse to give the RNC a dime.
Republican Senators have never been known for having backbones or principles when it comes to supporting President Trump.
They’re backstabbing squishes.
They tried. At least four Republicans came out against him.
Does anyone remember when Barry’s nominees were green lighted without any dissent from the GOP? I seem to remember GOP “leadership” saying, “he’s President, he deserves to have his choice of people approved.”
Apparently, this is no longer the position of GOP “leadership”. (rhetorical)
I read his “Fueling Freedom”. It was quite good.
Dhimmis then. Sure seems to me.
I got into a nasty email fight with him right after 9/11 when he insisted the borders remain open. You’re correct....he’s like water & will take on the form he needs to be around power.
What do you expyfrom the Stupid Party!?!?!?
Huffington Post???
Really????????
I can get better information from a drunk on the street
Troll fest material to me, come back when you have something from a reputable source
Pure click bait crap
(Herman Cain was chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City Omaha Branch from 1989 to 1991. He was deputy chairman, from 1992 to 1994, and then chairman until 1996, of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.)
Well Cain wasn't a Fed governor. And while membership on the individual bank boards is more ceremonial and advisory than anything else, it did give Cain insight into how the individual banks work and how they support local businesses and local economies. Cain might well have made a good member of the Board of Governors but that's all academic now.
