Stacey Abrams announced she would not challenge Rep. Senator David Perdue for his seat next year. I am announcing today that I will not be be a candidate for the U.S. Senate, Abrams said in a video posted to Twitter Tuesday morning. The fights to be wages require a deep commitment to the job, and I do not see the U.S. Senate as the best role for me in this battle for our nations future. Abrams decision to drop out of consideration for a Senate seat raises speculation that she could still be planning on adding her name to the crowded field of Democrats running for president in 2020.
Schumer tapped Abrams earlier this year to give the rebuttal to President Donald Trump's State of the Union address to Congress in an attempt to generate enthusiasm for a possible Senate run. Even though she wont be running for the Senate, Abrams said she is committed to getting a Democrat to unseat the Republican incumbent. But lets be clear, Abrams, who previously served as a state legislative leader in Georgia, continued in the video, I will do everything in my power to ensure Georgia elects a Democrat to the United States Senate in 2020.
Abrams said earlier in April that she was still considering running for president, but would likely hold off making a decision until Labor Day weekend or later.
'I don't think you actually have to make a decision about the White House before the fall,' she told MSNBC on April 4. If Abrams were to wait until then to launch her campaign, three Democratic presidential debates would have already taken place one in June, July and a third in August. The fourth debate is scheduled for September.

Abrams still believes that she should have technically won the Georgia gubernatorial race because she claims many votes were not counted that she says would have given her the edge over Kemp.
She believes she lost the opportunity to become the first black female governor in American because of racist voter suppression in the area.
Kemp won the 2018 gubernatorial race in Georgia with 50.2 per cent of the vote, while Abrams earned 48.8 per cent, the other .9 per cent went to libertarian candidate Ted Metz.
She would not get any votes.
Fat cow has never run in her disgusting fast food gorging life.
She’ll be dead in 5 years. Gross ignornant pig.
The Democratic field keeps getting better and better.
Why bother getting qualified for office when you don’t need to in order to run? Pish posh....
These days running and losing is all the experience you need to run the next time.
Unfortunately, she would. Every one “like” her would vote in a heartbeat.
Go big or go home.
She’s already has half the equation.
Do it Shirley!
I think she is the perfect Democrat candidate for President. Where can I send money?
Shes even less qualified than Barky to hold an executive job.
Stacey Abrams is everybody’s choice for VP among the Democrat field of dreams presidential contest.....
Does she want that cookie? Last one on the plate.
Biden is going to end up looking like Barry Goldwater compared to the rest of them.
I heard somebody the other day, a comedian I think, say everybody in the Democrat party is going to run for president.
Very Low IQ
I dont know why, but suddenly I have a hankering for some Aunt Jemima pancakes. Or have those been pulled from store shelves?
There’s always room for one more in the clown car.
And, if elected, she would be “one heartbeat away.” SMH
“Does she want that cookie? Last one on the plate.”
