Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., in promoting his Green New Deal, warned Tuesday that President Trumps Florida estate will be underwater within 15 years if the U.S. does not act to stop climate change.

Markey is really stupid.
One of the subjects taught in a first-year, introductory geology course is the concept of 'emergent' and 'submergent' coasts, and I am surprised that this isn't emphasized whenever the "sea level rise" idiots start yapping.
Emergent coasts are evidenced by shoreline cliffs, sea stacks, etc...uhhh, like the west coast of the US.
Submergent coasts are evidenced by shoreline marshes, off shore sand bars, long bar islands; think intercoastal waterways.
Has nothing to do with sea level rise.
Then AOC will finally have shut up and we will have blessed silence
The critical thinking skills of these people is a non-existent trait. If we were indeed going to perish in 12 years there's nothing, absolutely nothing mankind could do in a space that short to change it. Even mass extinction of the human race wouldn't change it.
Today's environmentalists are really nothing more than primitive Earth worshipping fascists. One could build an altar to Gaia and then sacrifice small animals on it daily and that would be at least as effective in changing the climate as what they want to do.
The “Woke” to Climate Change, don’t know. They really don’t know when it will happen, they don’t know IF it will happen, and they don’t know when they are being fooled, like their namesake “Chicken Little”. They don’t know... anything at all, because they believe in neither truth, nor reality.
What a magnificent real estate boon that will be. New waterfront property. Perhaps the water will rise to the ghetto and all those horrible homes will be torn down and replaced by palatial homes. Think of all the fish that will swarm into their new homes in the towers of NYC and LA. This will be a boon to fishermen across the globe. We can only hope and pray that global warming will increase the volume of water in our oceans sufficient to encroach on the land.
We had 12 years....Now 10.
Do I hear 9?
He unwittingly just lost all support for the Green New Deal.
And, yet, at the same time he's talking about going into 2050 for something (I can't remember what that was - just remembered the date.)
The 12 year time line to the end of the world is a moving timeline. The clock is reset every time someone warns the world will end in 12 years, they mean from the moment they said it.
So to be safe, once a year we only have to claim that the world will end in 12 years and we gained another year of safety.
The world that the left live in is a wonderful place. Words mean only what they want them to mean.
Hey, Ed...according to the climate change gurus Mar-a-Lago should have been underwater 15 years ago, not in 15 years.
Or does that even register with you?
“So why is Florida real estate going up and nobody is investing in Siberia?”
Because most of Siberia is a swamp.
But it’s easy to stop. Markey just needs to cut a $93 trillion check.
Thanks antidemoncrat.
“Then AOC will finally have shut up and we will have blessed silence”
I think she will be humiliated in the 2020 election because of her killing the Amazon deal. Of course that dosn’t mean she will keep her mouth shut but the Lame Street Media may drop her like a hot potato then.
SHouldn’t there be a stampede of Dems/Libs selling their multi-million $ beach front homes for pennies on the $ by now?-)
From NY Post: “Hawaiis iconic Waikiki Beach could soon be underwater as rising sea levels caused by climate change overtake its white sand beaches and bustling city streets.”
Is it possible the ocean level is rising around Hawaii but no where else?
She would still be a loud mouthed idiot.
Precisely. See my post#20.
These people truly are nitwits. The building boom has been phenomenal in Florida coastal areas in recent years. If rising oceans were viewed as a problem, nobody would have been able to obtain financing or insurance.
Isn’t that the one path through the marsh where some king decided to take a shortcut, and he made it through before the tides rolled in, but his baggage train (including the crown jewels) did not?
