I’ve been saying for some time that Hillary is behind many of these attacks. She still has the Smear Machine infrastructure (Perkins Coie) and friends in the Media.

I’m a betting man. And so if I get good enough odds, I’ll bet that you are right. Hillary would like to see every announced candidate weakened. That would lead to a brokered convention. Then (in her mind) the party elders would turn to her.
Why else would Hillary (with Bill trailing behind) shlep from city to city on a speaking tour? They don’t need the money. But Hillary wants to stay in the public eye for 2020.
You could be on to something. I don’t know how she will swing it, but I do believe that when the dust settles, Hillary Clinton will be the Democrat nominee. Anyone familiar with Hillary Clinton knows how she covets being President. As long as she is breathing, she is not giving up on it.
A few weeks ago I'd have said the odds of that were maybe 5 percent. Now? I'm not so sure. Clinton actually has better qualifications than any of them. She won the popular vote. That she was beaten twice by two noobs and now runs behind an open communist, might be overlooked. After all, it's lunatic 'rats that will make the selection. (Also, she might want to run to stay out of prison.)
