This appears to be a forthcoming 2019 edition of an existing textbook from the global education publishing giant Pearson, whose materials are ubiquitous. The friend highlighted some sections that show clear bias against political conservatives, President Trump and his administration, and Americans of faith. Here are some transcriptions from those images.
In describing the rise of Black Lives Matter in the aftermath of the Ferguson, Missouri shooting: The nearly all-white police force was seen as an occupying army in the mostly African-American town. In a section discussing President Trumps cabinet, the book says They were largely white males, more so than any cabinet since Ronald Reagan. In a discussion of the nations politics after 2012, it says Those who had long thought of the nation as a white and Christian country sometimes found it difficult to adjust to secularization and an increase in people of other races. Elsewhere, it describes Trumps not-very-hidden racism.

The K-12 lobotomy in action...
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Racist dicks...
...and yet we conservatives keep sending our kids to those ‘institutions’. Go figure.
Trump.
Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos.
"(R)'s" in Congress.
Enough pissed off people to rise from their decadent, "enlarged" arses.
Overwhelmingly, decisions on textbooks and curriculum are decided at the state and local level. Betsy DeVos may hold the title of Secretary of Education, but most of her authority relates to the distribution of Federal funds.
I was called a bigot yesterday, I think I’m on the right track heh.
Bill Ayers strikes again - or “still” as it were.
The implication in the title itself is bigoted.
A lot of folks don’t know what that word means, but they love to use it.
Bigot: a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion.
From https://www.dictionary.com/browse/bigot
Here is the fun part: The key word is “any”. A person is not a bigot if they are intolerant of Nazism. A person is not a bigot if they are intolerant of the teaching of islam. They are a bigot if they are intolerant of ANY opinion that differs from theirs.
I find that, under most circumstances, the only group that is truly bigoted, as a group, are leftists. Even liberals are not, as a group, bigoted.
The agenda of Liberals:
The complete destruction of Meritocracy.
The implication that Reagan, in any way, was a racist does not belong in a HISTORY book. Base, superficial research proves otherwise.
The Federalist’s account of the riots and racial incidents which occurred in Ferguson Missouri through writer Joy Pullman offers a complete pass and a fraudulent accounting of the Obama Administration’s involvement that began with Obama’s abuse of the presidential soap box known as the “Bully Pulpit” and ignoring its results. Which beside property destruction were dozens of assaults and murders of innocents caught wandering through black neighborhoods and cold blooded murders of police officers while not involved in any pursuit activity.
Correction That should read; Joy Pullman’s review of a textbook offering a histrionic accounting of the Ferguson Missouri episode for The Federalist. My comments was not on her but on the book she was reviewing accounting of the period. My comments were on what the book contained
I don't get it. Why doesn't someone ask Al Sharpton how old he thinks the universe is? Why does no one else ever even think of this?
Just say “Wild World of History” please, where we use “A Patriot’s History of the United States” and have a FULL AP level track in our curriculum and will get your kid through the AP test.
And Reagan is a hero.
I heard it suggested that the word “bigot” may have come from the oath “By God.”
Well in that case, we can’t get away from it or even succeed in calling it categorically bad — unless we want to get as far from God as possible, which is a place the scripture calls hell and has no Christ in it.
Quit hating Christianity and then you’ll be competent to comment on it.
Have people not noticed that abolishing the Federal Department of Education as Reagan promised, has not happened?
A Democrat Congress is so fun, fun, fun
