FBI Director Christopher Wray said Friday that he expects Russia to target the 2020 US presidential election with social media campaigns, fake news and propaganda in a bid to divide Americans and “pit us against each other.”
Wray, speaking at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) in Washington, said that as in the 2016 election, Russia also sought to influence the 2018 US mid-terms and he expects more of the same next year.
“What has continued pretty much unabated is the use of social media, fake news, propaganda, false personas etc. to spin us up,” he said.
Russia’s intelligence agencies are seeking to “pit us against each other, sow divisiveness, discord, undermine Americans’ faith in democracy,” Wray said. …

If Russia really wanted to sow discord, they should ask for their $140 million back from the Clinton Foundation on the grounds that Hillary’s dismal campaign constituted non-performance on her end of an agreement.
Every country with an internet cafe will have trolls posting on social media and sowing discord. Why wouldn’t they? The information is factually correct regardless of your feelings toward the FBI Director. Just pretend Rush said the same thing and it will be ok.

Notice the FBI/CIA did not accuse any other country that also covered events in the U.S. Or that used social media to promote their news shows.
In fact, all of their claims fail to cover the actual action of the Russians (because they would be ridiculed for their complaint about the specific action)
The FBI/CIA need to be ridiculed for their claimed made in the Annex of this report for 2012 ‘election interference. It is their public Achilles heel.
