Salem’s idea of ‘conservative’ has been GOP establishment hacks like Hugh Hewitt and Bill Bennett, neverTrumpers like Michael Medved and Ben Shapiro, milquetoast characters like Mark Davis.
And on their print side they had Red State/Erik Erikson.
Don’t know how they managed not to feature Jonah Goldberg and William Kristol as well, but I suspect it was by mistake.
Bill Bennett was supportive of Trump. I listened to his radio show the last years or so he was on. He and his people (producers?, interns?) were supportive.
I despise Medved as he was nothing but a fraud masquerading on the radio for years as a “conservative”. Made me glad to know he was finally chunked.
