While everything seems to be new and bustling with energy in South Bend’s downtown, elsewhere, the city’s economic life is in a holding pattern.
Residents in the area say they see little of the mayor, and lament the flow of city dollars they see headed into neighborhoods they view as already well-off, as they are left to struggle amid rising gun violence and absent city services.
“Ain’t s--- changed,” said Shawn White, a black 24-year-old from South Bend’s west side.

And Obama did so much for South Side Chicago when he represented it in the Illinois Senate. Mayor Buttplug’s constituents will soon learn, if they haven’t already, that the peons on the Democrat Plantation don’t get to actually expect anything in exchange for their votes.

Well, remember that we’re talking about the Democrat primary base, so, no, they’re not smarter than that. Clearly, Butt is a dream candidate for their white liberal base. The problem that he’s going to have will likely be with their black/Hispanic wing which isn’t totally on board with the gay agenda.
I will never understand certain things. And among those is, how is it, that a young 37 year old mayor of a small city, with no experience on the national political scene, is somehow touted as a serious presidential candidate.
What are the Hoosiers thinking? Can he carry IN?

There is a movement trying to get off the ground he should run for Governor if he doesn’t get POTUS position. Neither will happen for him.
