Beto: I Would Sign 'Reparations Commission' Bill 'In A Heartbeat'
PJ Media ^ | April 23, 2019 | Nicholas Ballasy

Posted on 04/24/2019 5:40:01 AM PDT by C19fan

Former Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas), a 2020 presidential candidate, said that a "conversation" about reparations for the descendants of slaves should take place in "every community" and he committed to signing a bill to study the issue if Congress passed the legislation.

O'Rourke was asked if he would support compensation for the descendants of slaves. In his answer, O'Rourke explained that he discussed the reparations issue with Bryan Stevenson, a civil rights lawyer and political activist. O'Rourke said Stevenson explained that he might not be able to have a "Truth in Conciliation Commission like you had in South Africa" and "may not be able to force the coming together" that's starting to take place in Rwanda.

“It’s all about pandering to the left which we see every election. The conservatives do the same going to the right.”

So true! If you add up all the “freebies” being offered by politicians today, you have to realize that there isn’t enough money in the world, let alone the US to satisfy their cost.

What about people, Irish and Eastern European among others who were brought here as indentured servants? Many had it worse than slaves. That's because their "sponsors" had no incentive to keep them alive after their contract was fulfilled. And what about blacks who were indentured servants, like plantation teachers for children who were given freedom when the children were grown? And what percentage of a person's blood has to be descendant of slaves? Are people left out because besides ancestors who were slaves there are also ancestors who were slaveholders? And what about descendants of "Trail of Tears" Cherokee, among others?

What's my point? Have these idiots even considered the mess this would be?

The Democrats, so void of policies, that they’ll do anything to buy a vote now.

1. I’m pretty sure that it is blatantly unconstitutional (not to mention morally reprehensible) to force some people (who didn’t do anything wrong) to pay money to others (who had nothing wrong done to them) for the bad actions of a third, long dead, group of people against a fourth, also long dead, group of people.

2. OK, let’s say that #1 is wiped away on a challenge to the Supreme Court by 5-4 (Roberts being the swing Leftist vote, of course - thanks a metric phuckton, W!). So then, will the payment of reparations actually END all of the social programs that already have been carefully constructed and administered so as to effectively give reparations? Will reparations end foodstamps, Section 8 housing, AFDC, etc. - for those who receive any reparations payments? We ALL know the answer to that question...which tells me that reparations are just another in a long and disgraceful line of vote-getting acts of extortion by the race-whoring, pining-for-the-good-old-days-of-the-plantation, Democrats.

Phuck these people, with a running chainsaw.

“It’s all about pandering to the left which we see every election. The conservatives do the same going to the right.”

there’s BIG difference between the two: the leftists mean every word they’re saying, whereas the GOPe fake conservatives also were lying, since all but a tiny handful were (and still are) nothing more than lefitst-lite ... Trump is the only actual conservative since Reagan that’s meant every word he said ...

I wonder what's in the cards next for him after he fails again. Perhaps he'll run for King of England.

“That said, it’s insulting to black citizens to present them as people with their hand out for anything they can get.”

But over 90% vote Democrat for that very reason. LBJ made a very politically incorrect statement that he’d have them voting Democrat for the next 200 years. LBJ has been right for 50 years so far.

Hey Beto, who alive today was a slave? If this does not sound stupid to you, then you are rather slow mentally.

Beto & Butt campaign together.
Beto is not even his real name nor ethnicity.
Maybe Beto and that ‘indian’ women can run together.
