"Donald Trump issued on Monday an Earth Day proclamation that omitted any mention of climate change or the cavalcade of environmental threats posed by deforestation, species loss and plastic pollution. The president chose instead to praise the benefits of a “strong market economy”.

"In response, one leading climate scientist said Trump’s environmental policy was “in many cases the antithesis of protection”. The executive director of the Sierra Club said Trump was “the worst president for the environment our nation has ever had”.

The executive director of the Sierra Club said Trump was “the worst president for the environment our nation has ever had”.

The executive director of the Sierra Club should resign in shame and disgrace. Our air and water is cleaner than ever! Check it out yourself.

Furthermore, President Trump is taking action to remove the plastics contaminating our oceans. Trump has done more for our environment that all previous presidents combined.

Yes, and I was vacationing in San Francisco for it. The graffiti and mess the eco-facists left in Golden Gate park was epic.

It’s a great day for a plateful of grilled delta smelts!

Also it’s the kind of day in SoCal where you can run the heater at night and switch to the a/c during the day!

I think I’ll put two illegal plastic straws in my drink. And maybe laugh at any turtles I see.

It's Earth Day, and that gawlderned shrubbery is producing carbon dioxide non-stop.

CO2 is plant food. They take in CO2 and give us oxygen. We would not be alive without CO2, because the plants would not have created oxygen.

A robust market has resulted in the US carbon emissions continuing to fall. Migration from coal to NG and better fuel economies are responsible for much of the improvement.

My earth day minute:

I Am an outdoorsman. ( or was when younger). We take good care here in the USA. All our power plants that need scrubbers. Have them. Are cars run relatively clean.

However the third world where the uber billions live, are filthy pigs.

The Chinese and Indians need to clean up their act.

Global temperatures are 99% influenced by the sun. But who wants to choke on smoke and filth like in Beijing.

The UN and it’s minions need to address these people and their filth…not the US.

We must also stop immigration both legal and illegal. 300+ million is just too much. Kick out all those non-Citizens that are a drag on our western culture. They leave their feces on the streets of San Francisco and have reintroduced bed bugs in a country where they were basically gone

“Respiration” by plants at night means they put back out the Carbon Dioxide taken in at night...It doesn’t mean they “produce” Carbon Dioxide...

During daylight they give off Oxygen that is converted from Carbo Dioxide through the process of photosynthesis...
