Yep, apparently so. This was the famous ‘insurance policy’ - if Trump won, keep ‘investigating’ him for collusion, right through his term, as that ties up the evidence needed to take out the coup plotters [with Rosenstein being the top dog of the bunch], weakens Trump, and might even get him impeached. In 6 months [by the end of 2017] they knew there was no collusion, but the ‘insurance policy’ is why they continued on and on, and would have never stopped.
Too bad for them that enough Republicans DID NOT sit out the 2018 election [out of principle, of course], and thereby Trump got 53 seats in the Senate, and thereby got Barr confirmed - and now THE JIG IS UP for the Democrat plotters.
Again, elections have consequences. Susan Collins voted YES on Barr, Lisa Murkowski voted YES on Barr, and Mitt Romney voted YES on Barr. So please, do the country a favor, and save your ‘principle’ votes for the Primaries, rather than voting [or not voting] in November to enable coup plotters against Trump to escape justice.
