Does the tiny nation of Malta need some tourism or someone to buy its products, some extra defense help, or maybe a Hollywood movie celebrating it? Can we do something for them? I wish I could tell for sure, because right now, the only sentiment to describe the tiny state is one of awe and gratitude.
National Security Advisor John Bolton had a great tweet about it:

The U.S. recognizes and appreciates Malta & countries across the world that are standing up to a ruthless dictator by prohibiting military flights and vessels from bringing military equipment and foreign security and intelligence forces to prop up Maduro.

Ping for your ‘favorite’ country. :-)
Lived there in ‘57-’59 while my Dad was Chief Weather-Guesser at Halfar. It was an idyllic place to be for a kid, full of adventure, and Americans were well-loved by the Maltese.
Those fond memories brought me back there in 2013 for a 3-week vacation to the main island and also Gozo. The only stain on the trip was seeing this gentle land overridden by Muslims from Libya. As part of the E.U., Malta was bound by law to give sanctuary and support to these vile layabouts, who were despised by the locals.
On more than one occasion, we saw groups of them being chased through the narrow city streets by throngs of P.O.’d young Maltese men, usually for being rude and sexually aggressive with the local ladies. Their Catholicism roots, while eroded, still run deep.
The “yoops” have pretty much capitulated. At least at the upper political levels. And nearly no shots fired. Sad. We have ZERO desire to go across the pond ever again.
Malta gave us Buttigieg.
Malta is a Catholic country. Doesn’t care about earthly crap.
Yep, expect more fawning pieces about Malta, as the media puffs up their Great Gay (Maltese) Hope.
George Cross Island.
Mayor Pete is their favorite son. The Maltese Candidate. He is a polyglot. /s
That’s where Roberts fled to and hid in some monastery after he F-ed America with that Obamacare ruling.
Unfortunately a friend says what you said about his vacation in Sicily.
Muslims are not going to blend into any non- Muslim society.
When Are we going to learn that lesson.

Now we need some larger counties such as Cape Verde to join in.
Wandering the streets during a port visit we came upon a pair of huge white doors and a simple ‘St. Paul’s Shipwreck Church’ handwritten on a piece of paper. What a marvelous discovery that was.
Near St. Paul’s Bay, there are Roman roads that still remain in the back hills. It’s one of my favorite spots for solitude and imaginary time-traveling.
In the last go-round, it took Europe 700 years to get fed up enough to go Crusading.
?
I’d say the last “go around” was about a hundred years ago, when the Ottoman Empire was broken up. We can add in the River War a few years before that when the British taught the Whirling Dervishes a thing or three.
Saved the Med, which saved North Africa, which Saved Britain, which helped the US save the world.
Thanks Malta!!
Muslims are not going to blend into any non- Muslim society.............
Makes them easier to find when the time comes.
Muslim ghettos also provide cover and protection for jihadis. - Tom
