An armed right-wing militia group operating along the U.S.-Mexico border posted several videos to social media this week, including one in which they held about 200 asylum-seeking migrants at gunpoint near Sunland Park, N.M., until U.S. Border Patrol agents arrived, according to a report.
The militia group, which calls itself the United Constitutional Patriots, said it is determined to monitor the border until President Trump fulfills his campaign promise of a border wall or until Congress enacts stronger legislation to make it more difficult for migrants to request asylum, Jim Benvie, a spokesman, told The New York Times in a phone interview.

“It should go without saying that regular citizens have no authority to arrest or detain anyone,” the governor of New Mexico, Michelle Lujan Grisham, said in a statement to The New York Times, adding that it is “completely unacceptable” that migrants be “menaced or threatened” upon entering the U.S.
The American Civil Liberties Union said in a statement that “the Trump administration’s vile racism” emboldened these groups.

Making a Citizen’s Arrest
If you do decide to make a citizen’s arrest, you should:
1. Tell the suspect plainly that you are making a citizen’s arrest and that you are holding him or her until police arrive.
2. Call the police.
3. Ask explicitly for his or her cooperation until police arrive.
4. Avoid using force, if at all possible, and use it to the minimum possible otherwise.
5. Do not question or search the suspect or his or her possessions. Your purpose is only to temporarily detain him or her until police arrive.
When police arrive, state the plain facts of what happened.
So, though not ADVISABLE, it seems civilians can arrest lawbreakers. Just because tinpot penny-ante leftist governors say they can’t doesn’t make it so.
I would imagine any GOOD Sheriff, GOOD Federal Marshall, even any GOOD Police Chief would appreciate the assitance. And besides, to stop the militia from affecting citizen’s arrests in the future, won’t the actual cops have to get off thier dead and/or corrupted asses and start patrolling these areas?

First law to change is fines for hiring illegals:
Any company with fewer than twenty employees will be fined one thousand dollars for each illegal found employed. Second offense fine will be $4,000 per illegal employee.
Any company with over twenty employees, but fewer than one hundred - will be fined $2,000 for each illegal first offense - and $8,000 each for illegals on a second offense...
Companies with over a hundred employees will be fined $3,000 per illegal first offense and $12,000 per illegal second offense.

There is a fix for this, at least in Texas. The vast majority of border in Texas is private property. All these private landowners would have to do is lease the first 50 feet or so of their border to the militia groups for a dollar a year. I promise you, in Texas, YOU DO have the right to detain anyone trespassing on your leased land.
President Trump should call on Americans to volunteer to help secure the border. Ask them to come in 30 day deployments. Get them signed up, assign them as their skills and experience permit. Get them a week of training, then three weeks partnered with an agent, assigned a watching post, or something meaningful. Watch the Democrat heads explode. Trump can offer the alternative of a 100,000 troops if they’d prefer. It is a national emergency, time to act on that declaration. Today, now.
Crossing the border is not a felony, it is a misdemeanor.
Police do help patrol the border as part of operation stone garden.
A key part of that is “a crime occurring in their presence”. Unless a militia member actually saw someone cross the border how would they know that someone is here illegally?

Put am$1,000 bounty dead or alive on each illegal. Allow US citizens be allowed to become armed bounty hunters.
The current procedure as affirmed by the 9th circuit court is to release them, into mexico while their asylum hearing is awaited.
I have long advocated that we put bounties on illegal aliens. Specifically those with court orders or who have overstayed their visas. Put them up on a public website, Wanted $500 Bounty. Include whatever information is available. Let the American people find them, root them out, and then ICE can deport them all. It'd be good win-win for everyone.
