A 37-year-old man from New Jersey was arrested after attempting to enter St Patrick's Cathedral in Manhattan with two gasoline cans Wednesday night, police say.
Church ushers stopped the man at about 8 p.m. and notified nearby officers with the NYPD Critical Response Command, who took him into custody.
Authorities say he drove to St. Patrick's, parked in front of Saks and took two gas cans and lighter fluid from the car into the cathedral where he was stopped.
The man's intentions were not immediately clear. The incident came two days after the fire at Notre Dame cathedral in Paris.

Do you know of any source for spouts that can be bought to replace the ones that virtually every sane person on the planet despises? It’s probably a felony to sell such a product.

Trump could pick up another million votes by rescinding that stupid EPA gas cap mandate.

The man with the gas cans and the NY reporter who wrote this sentence should be tied together back-to-back in front of St. Patrick’s, doused with the perps gasoline, and . . .

Which is worse, people? Possibly appearing prejudiced against a group of people due to educated guess, or blowing up churches?Prejudice? Hardly.
They set the precedent.
If they don't like being immediately thought the perps when something like this happens, they can do something about it, like stop it and denounce it.

Would leaving a trail of lighter fuel back to your gasoline soaked area be safer than leaving a trail of gas? I cant imagine it burns at that much of a slower speed to make any difference. A lot easier though to pour out a trail of lighter fluid than using what remains in the gas c5an.
My thought also
