Throughout most of southern Ohio, residents who watch cable news are predominantly glued to one channel: Fox News.
People there dont watch Fox News to know what to think; they already know what they think, and they avoid news channels that insult their intelligence and core beliefs. Yes, Fox News is an echo chamber for the right, but no more than CNN and MSNBC are for the left, as far as conservatives are concerned. To be fair, when a Democrat is in the White House, the networks switch places, with Fox News criticizing every move, and MSNBC and CNN defending the Oval Office fortress.
But for now, while partisans on the left may quibble, the fact remains that on the subject of collusion with Russia by President Trump or his campaign, Fox News was right and the others were wrong. For at least two years, MSNBC and CNN devoted hour upon hour, day after day, to promoting the narrative that Trump colluded with the Russians, and that special counsel Robert S. Mueller III was going to prove it. That turned out to be wrong.

“The greatest irony in Trump’s presidency is he was falsely accused of colluding with Russia by people who were actually colluding with Russia.” — Victor Davis Hanson
Actually Rush and to a degree Hannity, Carlson etc just tend to confirm what I’ve already been thinking.
They may refine, possibly put an edge on my existing beliefs but I don’t think ever in 20 years have given me a particular opinion.
This is a modified limited hangout.
“some people in the media need to be arrested too. This conspiracy is that big.”
A few days ago I heard that there are a couple of people in the White House who need to be very worried. They’ve been working with the media giving information that they shouldn’t have. Iit will be interesting to find out who they are.
“Why does Tucker keep inviting that idiot?”
I don’t think he has a choice. I’ve heard that TPTB at Fox negotiate the contracts with these people. Then they assign the idiots to various programs.
The one I can’t stand is Juan Williams.
“Fox News hasnt been Conservative in years.”
They are not supposed to be conservative. They are supposed to report the news, either good or bad. What separates Fox News from everyone else is their commentators are mostly conservative. The other networks pretend that they are reporting news when in fact, the networks are made up of all left wing commentators.
I’ve got some hidden ad blocker on top of the one I can control... long story short, I can’t read this piece. Any chance you could post more of it just this one time?
Post the wapo link in outline.com and you can read the article.
40% of Fox’s viewers identify as Democrat.
The hard news segments are just about as biased as the rest of the MSM and in the same direction. The opinion people are conservative.
The New York Post appears to hang it the balance, too..
With Rupert’s departure, will Fox News abandon conservative viewers? There are FReepers who’d say it’s already the case.
“40% of Foxs viewers identify as Democrat.”
wow, that’s interesting..
I do not spend ONE minute on the other news channels - so that % might be very indicative of “Walk-Aways”.. ?
Fox News is still leftist. Just not so much.
Not sure, but Kilmead said that earlier this week.
Since Conservatism IS truth, reporting the news as such is factual.
