I’m thinking some sort of composite to reduce the weight. I should think the steeple can also come in under the 750 tons of the old one. Let’s cut those flying buttresses a little slack by reducing the force moving down the exterior walls

The roof was made of lead sheets, so the modern materials will take a lot of the weight off......................
