Pro-crime policies work. For criminals and their enablers.
Entire cities and areas become unlivable wastelands where only criminals and welfare recipients thrive, and the only businesses are illegal or government funded. Here's what's coming to Dallas County courtesy of Dallas County District Attorney John Creuzo.
Dallas County's new district attorney announced his office will no longer prosecute "theft of necessary items" up to $750.
Finally theft has been legalized for someone other than the government.
The announcement drew an immediate reaction from small business owners who are worried that word of the policy will encourage shoplifting.

aka License to Steal. Expect the unexpected consequences.
What?
When I was dirt poor, I was a repeated victim of thieves. A theft of personal property of less than $750 was devastating to me. Stealing my son’s <$100 bicycle meant he didn’t have a bicycle, and I didn’t have $100 to replace it.
So, I can steal a couple of pairs of Air Jordans and a 50” HDTV?..................
If I shoot you for stealing $700 worth of stuff from me, the DA will be ALL OVER me.
The word gets out quickly about something like this. Even if it’s a real policy, you should never ever publicly admit it. Who are these geniuses?
working families who own stores from Boston to this location
to the west liberal coast now have to worry about
being murdered because anything they sell under
$750 per perp is FREE.........
Sure, but under this new policy you could just go and steal him a better bicycle, like one worth $700. Everyone’s a winner!
Property relatged Shootings will go up.
$750 is a lot of Tampons and Diapers.
The crooks would find out much faster than citizens would; better it be revealed publicly than to find out the hard way.
Not new. Most haven’t prosecuted for anything less than $1000 for decades.
This practice in Seattle is killing retail in its downtown. The shoplifters steal from stores day after day without repercussions to pay for their drug habit. Many retailers are moving to the east side which is relatively crime free.
Been looking at some stuff that $749.99? Hmmm. Before or after tax is added?
The governor needs to investigate this
Is there a time frame on the amount. Is this per day, per week, per month?
Scofflaws
Bet they take prosecution of those who don’t pay $200 traffic tickets more seriously
“But that’s MY money!!!”
Awsome- so everyone should all move to dallas and become thieves- Doesn’t matter if one is a good thief or bad- one can’t be prosecuted if one keesp it under $750 steal food, clothes, jewelry, gasoline, whatever we want, as long as it’;s not for ‘personal economic gain’ and is always under $750- We never have to buy any of these things again
So.... If you need bathroom supplies, just go to Wallmart and take them?
