"Mr le Bras told reporters at the scene: 'We want more than anyone for light to be shed on the origin of this drama." !?

Any idea what could have been done as part of the construction that could cause the fire?

He said his company has 12 workers involved in the refurbishment, though none were on site at the time of the fire.

Hmm, and yet the media says it was an accident. I suppose it's possible but could it be Muslims committing arson? The MSM won't even let such speculation surface.

What ere their names and who else gained access under the cover of "construction" access. Are there cameras?

Not sure a terrorist group wouldn’t have taken credit for this by now or tried so hard to make it look like an accident during renovation.

Seems more legit to ask if one of the 12 “workers” left equipment running.

That said, if it’s a loan wolf, I’d be checking the payroll of the contracting company.

[it’s in our DNA]

Heh. Heard this idiotic line on “Buying Jets” or whatever the name of the show is. The guy was attempting some branding of some sort and it just sounded trite after he repeated it multiple times.

I’d like to know the names of all the crew members working that day!

what is the protocol for leaving lithium battery power tools at the worksite in a place like that?

it is full of flammables. imho the protocol should have been to remove all lithium power tools at the end of the day, every day, no exceptions, and buddy doublechecks and checklists. maybe that is 20-20 hindsight. dunno.

One thing that does ring true...

If you knew European laborers, (especially the French and the Italians) you’d know they’re like Fred Flintstone when the end of work whistle blows. Yaba daba doo and they’re out of there!!!

So the fact that by 5:30 pm they were gone doesn’t surprise me at all. More likely the started putting their tools up at 4:30 pm...

"After winning the contract Le Bras said: 'No one has touched it [Notre Dame] for 150 years, it's a great honour to be doing the work."

Not true!

Was covered in scaffolding in 1994 when I was there several times.

Can I just say it?

We are all just keeping our mouths shut, quietly hoping that we’re wrong about the origins of this fire.

Obviously we don’t KNOW with 100% certainty....we’re just waiting for the investigation to figure it out like the rest of the planet....but...will anyone actually be surprised, shocked, stunned...even a little if it turns out to be arson? The potential perp(s) have had time to travel now.

Honestly, I hope I’m wrong. That would be refreshing in a way.
