thanks for the photos. Pic 1 strikes me - in that, with all that water around the church, no watercannon boats were engaged in firefighting. Realizing the first fire responders had no equipment, of the 400 or so responding many were grabbing what they could and getting it safely out of the building, but no water-cannons. On a river.
In pic 3, you can see melted bent-over candles, but the woodwork on the pulpits is still Murphy’s Wood Soap shiny and all the statues visible are still standing/not melted. So I guess ‘total destruction’ must mean, walls caved in a heap or something like that?
