Fox anchor Shepard Smith on Monday melted down when a French guest attempted to explain the ongoing attacks, violence and vandalism against French churches. Talking about the fire engulfing Notre Dame, where the cause is unknown, guest Philippe Karsenty began, For the past years, we've had churches desecrated each and every week all over France.
Just seconds after his guest was introduced, Smith immediately jumped in and reprimanded, Sir, sir, sir, we're not going to speculate of the cause of something that we don't know! If you have observations or you know something, we would love to hear it. After Karsenty attempted to respond, Smith shut down the whole interview: No, sir. Were not doing that here. Not now. Not on my watch! Philippe Karsenty, its very good of you to be here.
Twenty minutes later, Smith came back to concede the point about violence against French Christians, allowing, There have been a number of attacks on Catholic churches in the Paris area. But those two things [the Notre Dame fire and past incidents], we are not connecting at this moment.
Newsweek reported on March 21, 2019:
Vandals have smashed statues, knocked down tabernacles, scattered or destroyed the Eucharist and torn down crosses, sparking fears of a rise in anti-Catholic sentiment in the country.
Last Sunday, the historic Church of St. Sulpice in Paris was set on fire just after midday mass on Sunday, Le Parisien reported, although no one was injured. Police are still investigating the attack, which firefighters have confidently attributed to arson.
The website Churchpop.com noted,
Since early February, vandals desecrated more than a dozen Catholic Churches throughout France. Theyve looted, burned, destroyed statues, threw consecrated hosts all over the floors, and marked a cross on the wall with human feces.
The Washington Post on April 2 reported: "Among attacks on churches in February, a cross of human excrement was found in the southern city of Nimes, a statue of Mary was smashed in a Paris suburb and a statue of Jesus decapitated...
Of course, that doesnt mean, in any way, thats what is happening in Paris. And people shouldnt recklessly speculate. But neither should Smith decide a guest is unlistenable simply because he tries to inform an American audience about what's going on in France.
Its not as though Smith himself hasn't speculated. In 2017, he became unhinged while discussing the Russia investigation. In 2015, he yelled at a fellow Fox host during a discussion of riots in Baltimore.

OKAY your post made me LAUGH!
Hmmm... do we have evidence that they shut down anyone speculating about the source of minority churches (viz. mosques) under attack/being burned down?
“It i amazing the number of ways western dupes help the islamic takeover of the world.”
A surprising number of them simply want to live in an environment that’s tolerant of sexual congress with children.
Shep Smith needs to spend a few years being traded out in a Turkish prison.
Perhaps the French guy should have said they saw somebody wearing a MAGA Hat nearby....................
Nice alliteration! :-)
When does someone speak the truth about what’s really happening?
Both Cavuto & Smith shut down down any chat about the cause of this tragic event. Actually, I agreed with them, until I heard that this fire started about five or six minutes after the church was closed to the public for the day.
Then I started to think...this church is located on an island in the middle of the river...tough for massive amounts of fire fighting equipment to get access to easily, also a fire starting after church closing has enough time to really cause damage to the building, because of the church not being occupied by hundreds of tourists and visitors, etc. Cavuto & Smith are dead wrong to shut down any input...no matter what is said. All inputs are open for discussion until we get solid facts and evidence of what actually happened.
Actually the Paris fire Department was slow in responding...which would be natural because of the church location. A planned, purposely set fire after church closing hours would fit right into the hands of the arsonists, by delaying the arrival of first responders of all kinds. Stay tuned......folks!!! FNC, Neil Cavuto and Shepard Smith have their heads in the sand!!! We shall see in the days to come.
Yet shep is quick to assume “right wing white guy” when hearing of a shooting.
I haven’t had a TV in my house for more than 5 years, and I’m not in a rush to get one. FR generally gets it done for me.

I heard it,
Shep, as usual, was disgusting.

Satan protects his own.
The left will NEVER admit that muzzies are responsible for the acts of terrorism they perpetrate against Christians, not even if they watched it with their own eyes.
It’s France. If it turns out to be a terrorist attack, we won’t hear anything...................
Muslims are not under suspicion either, even though I have little doubt they did it.
