Apologies for the rather caustic title, but the latest release from Pyongyang regarding a possible third summit between Kim Jong-un and President Trump is completely unserious and shows that any American hopes for actual denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula are wholly unrealistic. The “offer” of another summit came during a speech Kim gave to Parliament. While the possibility of further progress is a worthy goal, North Korea’s diminutive dictator is already putting conditions on his potential participation and they clearly add up to what many of us suspected all along. Kim wants major sanctions relief and resources for his country before he’ll take even minor steps toward eliminating his nuclear stockpile. (Associated Press)
Kim during the speech blamed the collapse of his summit with Trump in February on what he described as unilateral demands by the United States. But he said his personal relationship with the American president remains good.
Kim repeated earlier claims that North Koreas crippled economy would persevere through heavy international sanctions imposed over its nuclear weapons program and that he wouldnt obsess over summitry with the United States out of thirst for sanctions relief.
We of course place importance on resolving problems through dialogue and negotiations. But U.S.-style dialogue of unilaterally pushing its demands doesnt fit us, and we have no interest in it, Kim said during the speech. We will wait with patience until the end of the year for the United States to come up with a courageous decision. But it will clearly be difficult for a good opportunity like last time to come up.
This is how the last summit fell apart and it’s obvious that Kim isn’t changing his tune in any way. Before he starts dismantling his missile and weapons programs, he wants the sanctions lifted

Trump should inform fatboy that he has just so much time until he is nuked.
Can’t let them build 100 nukes.
Trump is the president of the USA.
Not south korea.
Sounds cold, I know.
Life is sometimes.
Trying to use the summit to humiliate Trump, yet we walk on eggs around that fool... just like we do around these lib idiots at Berkley. Coincidinc?
I agree it’s a waste of effing’ time. By the 2nd meeting, the fat puke should have made a deal to PDJT. 3rd meetings are irrelevant and never needed.
Kim is just trying to make himself sound important.
But I am sure that the US is explaining the facts of life to Kim, behind the scenes. I hope Kim will understand before the US would have to take drastic measures.
I wonder if the author recalls that not long ago there were no talks with N. Korea much less with Kim. Did he think Kim would fold after one meeting and completely lose face? Does he think Trump has no idea how to handle a difficult negotiation?
HotAir represents the Never-Trumper RINO establishment wing. Ever since Malkin sold it to Salem and they mandated Facebook postings it has gone downhill.
Don’t forget the clown named “Allahpundit.”
Quit messing with this goon Trump. American lives are at stake. Hit him NOW!! We could lose 90 million people!!
“Cant let them build 100 nukes.

Correct.
We must destroy their program and capability entirely. It’s an existential thing.
Of course we would prefer to preempt with conventional weapons, but nukes if necessary.
I’ll take Trump’s judgement over that of Hot Air, thanks.
Yeah, what a douche that guy is.
“Trump approval rating drops from 51 to 50 percent. Oh my”
Another case of Trump’s advisers not doing their job and failing the president. Anyone who was paying any attention to the NORK’s past actions could foretell how this was going to play out.
The incompetent staff that let Kim exploit Trump’s ego against American interests should have been fired and prosecuted for criminal negligence.
Kim, in reality, has nothing to say here. The Chinese are trying to play Trump. Im sure in the Chinese trade talks they are trying to use their leverage with Little Rocket Man to get American concessions. Trump will tell tell them to go F themselves and pony up more tariffs for their efforts. Not to worry, the presidents got this.

Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound shrimp , peeled, deveined
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon olive oil
8 ounces white mushrooms , sliced
3 cloves garlic , minced
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup basil pesto
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon fresh basil , chopped
Instructions
Heat large skillet on medium-high heat until hot. Add olive oil - it should run without sizzling. Add shrimp, season shrimp with 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, cook for about 3 minutes, turning once midway, until shrimp is pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from the skillet.
Add another tablespoon of olive oil to the same, now empty, skillet. Add sliced mushrooms. Add minced garlic. Season mushrooms with 1/4 teaspoon salt. Cook, stirring, until mushrooms release liquid and reduce in volume and get soft, for about a minute or two. Add back the cooked shrimp. Add 1/2 cup basil pesto and 1/2 cup chicken broth. On medium heat, mix everything to combine. Remove from heat.
When ready to serve, top the shrimp with chopped fresh basil.
