A body believed to be that of missing Mouseketeer Dennis Day has been found at his home in Oregon.
Police in the town of Phoenix were called to Days property on Thursday, but the body has not yet been identified, Oregon Live reported.
Day, 76, was an original cast member of The Mickey Mouse Club in the 1950s.
In July, his husband, Ernie Caswell, who suffers from memory loss and was hospitalized at the time, reported him missing.

I graduated from high school with a guy whose uncle was Dennis Day from the Jack Benny show. That Dennis Day’s real last name was McNulty. My classmate’s mother was the actress Ann Blyth. Ann Blyth’s husband was a medical doctor who served as a battle surgeon on Iwo Jima in 1945.
So much hate out there for someone they don't know who may have been murdered.
Good point. Sad when there's nobody looking in on you. You'd think somebody would have checked his home first, wouldn't you? Maybe the detectives need some remedial training.
And this is the Mousketeer Dennis Day, who "married" a man:
Where was his family BEFORE as his life went down the tubes?
perhaps they should be investigated.
Not sure about his mom, but his father's name was Otis. He was a musician, I think.
I know of one of those, he keeps talking about his "husband" but is also pretty persistent (without being obnoxious, but still) about begging for recognition and acceptance of his relationship. He's not quiet about it.
I believe deep down inside he knows he's out of order and he wants people to convince him otherwise.
I worked with a gal that was consistent at interjecting “my wife” into conversations....which everybody pretty much ignored because we all knew she was saying it to get attention. It never worked.
He must be a hardcore homo if he wasn’t watching Annette the whole time.
I know I was!
You lowered the boom on that mix up.
Its as clear as Day now.
That was Dennis Day, who was married and had something like 8 children.
Agewise, I knew it was a different Dennis Day. The older Dennis Day was on radio before TV..
I hate how it is written so you accept the fact that a man had a husband. No! “A homosexual partner”. I’m NEVER going to acknowledge fake marriage.
...and may God have mercy on his soul.
“Not all of them are hopelessly promiscuous, there are a large number that partner for life and simply want to live a quiet life. If this is what he did I have no problem, it’s the militant ones that try to force their life style on everyone else that I have a problem with, just like I do with religious zealots that try to jam their religion down my throat.”
I’m impressed by your wording. It’s what I would have said, if I could, in the same words.
Something so Sleepy Chaperone or Tom Tryon about this...
The Drowsy Chaperone! I always get that title wrong.
Hmmm... Guess the ol gaydar needs some maintenance.
In 1948, Day married Peggy Almquist; the marriage lasted until his death in 1988. The couple had ten children. His brother Jim McNulty, two years younger, was married to actress and singer Ann Blyth.
Day died on June 22, 1988, of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease).
His given name was Gene McNulty.
Sick and sad.
