If I had to guess, the ACLU knows this case is a slam dunk, but they want to be sure the precedent set by its outcome is not overly broad in its defense of the second amendment. Further, they probably wish to cloud the issue of first amendment expression to make sure it is overly broad in application. (Obviously, I do not trust the ACLU.)
I have met some ACLU people who have actually read the Constitution & understand what it says without resorting astronomical terms like penumbra to make it say something else.
People are so jumpy today... it’s a sad situation.
I could understand being asked to explain it and then being cautioned to avoid it because of how jumpy people are, if it was a one-off thing and not a clear obsession. Zombie/gun/redneck games are a popular genre today. Odds seem vastly in favor of it being harmless.
There are two schools of thought in ACLU.
Maybe this is their way of trying to make nice to the conservative gun-fan crowd, to try to stave off the pushback that’s coming for their wicked involvement in abortion.
The school is being run by children.
Sue. Sue the livin’ daylights out of them. For enough to get 100 percent financed in the best private school.
Occasionally useful.
“Why you bullying me?”. Is what my kids say in response to most questions or requests.
“Son go brush your hair.”
“Why you bullying me?”
I find it quite clever and funny. Started using it myself, kids get a kick out of it.
So when someone that’s racist or some such crap. I respond with “Why you bullying me?”. I love the look on their faces.
We had a indoor shooting range at my Junior High School. We took our rifles into the school in the morning and locked them up at the range then practiced after school let out.
If one of those kids was mine, Id be coming down so hard on the school and the administrators. This is outrageous.
When I was in high school, I always had a couple of guns in my car, it was nothing out of the ordinary for us to admire each other’s guns in the parking lot!
