I thought this had to be a joke. A bad one, but a joke.
If this really happened it is horrible.
The pope should resign.
Why? Salva Kiir Mayardit at best, this man just a politician. He’s certainly not a saint, nor is he poor and oppressed.
He’s been at war for 30+ years and has probably killed quite a few people in his day - and in a place like Sudan, this man isn’t anything more than a glorified gangster.
He’s not a Muslim, but reportedly, a Roman Catholic.
He REALLY doesn’t know anything about the real world.
I would shoot myself before I got dragged into Sudan.
Maybe he’s looking for a contact lens?...one can hope.
Many wish he would just kiss his own ass.
It’s fun and vitrue signalling games when it’s voluntary. But, keep it up, and submission to Islam won’t be voluntary. You’ll be kissing feet for real, not by choice.
PS... There’s a reason showing the soles of your shoes is an insult in that part of the world. It’s because of what is probably on them.
