A military council has taken control of Sudan and arrested longtime President Omar al-Bashir, the country's military said Thursday. The move comes after opposition protesters recently gained new momentum in demanding al-Bashir leave office.
Sudan's defense minister, Awad Mohamed Ahmed Ibn Auf, said the "regime" had been removed and its head arrested, as he announced the coup in a televised statement.
The minister said a transitional military council will rule the country for two years.
Protesters have been calling for al-Bashir's ouster for months. Thousands swelled the capital Khartoum's streets as the military promised to make an important announcement earlier Thursday.

A Field Marshall is now marching on the Capital in Libya to seize the Government.

Field Marshall Khalifa Haftar, who led the effort fighting ISIS in Libya, and is now fighting to seize the Capital City and National Government - also holds US citizenship.
He has a long relationship with the CIA, and lived in Northern Virginia for many years.
I wonder how much support from globalist, statist, communist and/or muslem operatives within the US government he has received?

Protesters ‘defy curfew’ after military ousts Bashir of Sudan...
Demonstrators say the military council is’ part of the same regime’....The fresh stand-off has raised ‘fears of a violent confrontation between protesters and the army.’....
“This is a continuation of ‘the same regime’,”.. said Sara Abdeljalil of the Sudanese Professionals Association(SPA).... “So what we need to do is to continue the fight and the peaceful resistance.”
Crowds on the streets of Khartoum waved flags and chanted “Fall, again!” - refashioning their previous anti-Bashir slogan of “Fall, that’s all!”

The SPA has previously said that...” any transitional administration must not include anyone from the “tyrannical regime”.
