The first amendment survived the 19,20 and had entered the 21 century, why do you think it proper for the second not to be afforded the same respect?

Member since I think 2006. Never been a problem. Since you are former law enforcement, you think the autistic guy who killed all those children at the Sandy Hook elementary school should have had all those weapons? Family lives there so it hits close to home.
I support the 2nd amendment. But I don’t have a problem with background checks or waiting periods.
I said that “I” am anti guns. That means I don’t own one or want one. I dont feel I need one where i live. Nor do I have any training in owning or using one safely. That does not mean that you can’t have one. I am not brain dead. I don’t insult people in person or on boards.
Are Quakers, Amish, Mennonites and pacifists all brain dead by your standards,too?

The Jacobs used to own a restraunt named Sascha’s in Wayzata on Lake Minnetonka. My brother and my best friend used to work there in the 80s. My friend even accidentally dropped a tray filled with glasses of ice water down Irwin’s shirt. I doubt he was affiliated with sex trafficking.

Would you support the need for a state approved permit and registration to post your thoughts on this forum? A waiting period from the time you think of posting to several days later when your comments have been verified?
The idea that the first amendment was great enough to adapt with the current population and technology, but the second is not shows why people on the coasts don’t truly understand how the founding fathers meant our republic to operate.
And when those don't work? What freedom of mine will you barter away next?
The kid at sandy hook stole those weapons from his mom AFTER killing her. He was not lawfully in possession of said weapons. I am for responsible gun ownership which includes proper safe storage of weapons. Which is completely moot if somebody is willing to kill you to get them. Mom bought the weapons and was thus responsible for their storage. Mom failed, and she would’ve paid for it if sonny boy hadn’t killed her.
