Who do you think sent the foiled assassin after him? That might tell us who has the most to fear from Assange and his knowledge.

Assange is a national Hero and should be on mount Rushmore. He showed us by truthful publication ( protected 1st amendment under the Pentagon papers Supreme court decision) that the government was spying on our telephone calls , emails and all without the required warrants under the 4th amendment. Daniel Elsberg personally stole the pentagon papers from the Pentagon in 1970!! He delivered them to the New York Times,. They published sources and methods and plans to disrupt the Vietnam war!!! The court ruled that was protected as long as it was truthful!! There is absolutely no difference in the Wikileak case! Free ASSANGE!! Assange is political prisoner. FREE HIM NOW!!

We need a list of all the things he exposed.

I can think of;
Hillary getting debate questions in advance
Hillary cheating Bernie
Podesta and the pizza perverts
Hillary saying leaders have two positions, one for the public and then the real position
That Clapper lied and the NSA/CIA was engaged in large scale illegal domestic spying
The vault 7 release that revealed the CIA had that Umbrage project and collected hacking tools and techniques so THEY could break into computers and blame it on other nations. IE..”Russia broke into the DNC computers”
That our government as far as Bush was laying the groundwork to launch the Syrian civil war, and under Hillary we funded and assisted ISIS.
That we had a secret deal with Sinaloa cartel.

Assange deserves a medal.

Don’t kid yourself. There were a lot of people swayed by wikileaks in 2016. And our side was energized. And their side was discouraged.

Discouraged to the point they murdered Seth Rich.

…if Assange cooperates with the Government please put him in witness protection and grant him a PARDON!

Also, better put him on Arkancide watch.

What continues to piss me off is when ABC reported on his arrest this morning, they shamelessly made the statement "...Russians hacked the DNC emails".

Nobody know who gave Wiki those emails but they make that claim anyway.

“Manning’s sentence was commuted by Obama.

Given that precedent, doesn’t seem worth pursuing, logically.”

For participating in the same crime as Assange, Bradley Manning was eligible for the death penalty, and received a 35 year sentence.

Such serious crimes are worth pursuing.

Essentially, they revealed as much as they could about the American effort in the war on terror. Not just abuses, but every detailed source and method, and every agent working with America that they could reveal, across the board.

Of course, some of those working on behalf of America were killed, once revealed.

No, Assange the Australian is not an American patriot Real bright.

And he is a lifelong strong advocate that secrecy is covering up evil acts in government. He has a very strong argument. Most classification is not the nuclear launch codes. It is government concealing their activities that they know the American people would oppose.

He’s not a patriot, he’s a hero.

Very hard to sympathize.

I agree. One may actually want to sympathize, but serious crimes were committed, and in an orderly society crime should be punished. I'm always bringing up the example of the two Romans who assassinated Caligula. There was no doubt they had done everybody a favor, but Rome hadn't grown so corrupt that people didn't see the absolute necessity of punishing regicide.

My only qualm is that some very bad actors are getting away scot-free with doing the same thing and worse.

Probably not as much as we expect will come from this, but he likely has info that could further damage the Democrat and MSM narrative so I would expect that he will be villainized. But it is one of those situations where many players will have to be careful not to out themselves with their reaction to it. And I think that he is in danger because he is considered by those in the deep state to be a loose canon that people will listen to.
