In an interview with the New Statesman, the rightwing philosopher was unrepentant about his views on George Soros, the Hungarian-American philanthropist, who is frequently cited in antisemitic conspiracy theories and attacked by Hungary’s rightwing prime minister, Viktor Orbán.

“Anybody who doesn’t think that there’s a Soros empire in Hungary has not observed the facts,” Scruton told the magazine...

[[The government has sacked its housing adviser Roger Scruton after he appeared to repeat antisemitic statements]]

But yet a congresswoman can repeatedly make anti-semitic remarks all day long and not get any punishment at all?

Loves Scuton. His works on philosophy are fantastic. He has a great book on sex and eroticism too.

He made an impact criticizing Foucault and Derrida.

anyone with 30 seconds and two brain cells to rub together can find out just how divisive and dangerous many of us believe SorozNazi is (and he almost bust the British Pound he is so hostile towards UK...that’s a fascinating story actually)...
any governmental official who defends SorozNazi is almost certain on the basturd’s evil payroll, and should be promptly investigated imho

Earlier, the ministry said: “It’s very clear from the interview Prof Sir Roger Scruton is not speaking for the government.”

Decidedly not. He is, however, speaking for everyone else.

So Scruton gets "fired" from an unpaid volunteer position by intellectual pissants unworthy to shine his shoes. No loss.

“The rightwing philosopher was unrepentant...”

Calumny from the Guardian? Yup. Pathetic news group.

Everyone should read Scruton and everyone can understand some of his writings. Rightwing? False. He understand the role of virtue in politics. Unrepentant? False. He goes to confession. Philosopher? One of the best.

Serving the government in the UK is like crawling across a minefield covered with broken glass.
